I purchased 4 bags of this to use after I had my baby but I only ended up using 2. I healed unbelievably fast and at no expense to the quality of healing. I was in surgery for an hour after delivery as they tried to stitch everything back together and I had to get a suture check at 4 weeks. When I went for my check up the dr was shocked at how well I had healed and said it was “surprising”. This is in contrast to the 6 MONTHS it took me to heal after my first delivery. I had third degree tearing with both of them but the tearing was significantly worse with the second yet this stuff helped me heal like it was nothing.

I love Birthsong Botanicals. The herb sitz bath is vital for healing after childbirth. I used it many times to relax and soothe. I was not prepared right after delivering my son and so did not have this until about two weeks after his birth. It still worked wonders.I used this herb sitz bath with Motherlove sitz bath spray and I healed up quickly. I trust this company as they use high quality and organic ingredients. I have bought several bags and gifted to friends who were getting ready to have their babies. Highly recommend.

You make one huge batch of "tea" with this, putting the entire bag of herbs into the satchel that comes inside the bag. Then you have to keep it refrigerated - took up lots of space in the fridge. I used this as often as I could- realistically speaking, that was not daily while nursing a newborn. I took 4 sitz baths with this mixture over a week. The baths felt nice on my postpartum perineum, but other than that, I don't know if this actually helped things heal faster than they would have without it. The dermaplast numbing spray was still the best thing I used, 4-5 times every day and still using it 2 weeks postpartum.
