One of the Best Kizer Knives to Date
I have well over 30 Kizer knives from budget to high end, and the Deviant is easily in the top 2 or 3. I got the copper/green micarta version. I found zero flaws out of the box (which is pretty rare). Fit and finish is excellent, blade is centered and evenly ground, ergonomics are good, action is GREAT (drops shut) and it's just a really good-looking knife. It doesn't have the obnoxious jimping on the liner lock (to which there's plenty of access), has an inset deep-carry pocket clip which screws on from inside the liner, and has comfortable dual thumb studs. In fact, I like it so much that I'm considering getting a second one. I would highly recommend this one. You won't be disappointed.

my favorite EDC
The media could not be loaded. Kizer Deviant is high quality EDC, one handed open and close is easy after a ~500 open and close break in period. Fun for fidgeting open and close. Feels like an assisted open knife due to the precise detent so satisfying vs a similar Civivi like knife with less positive opening action. It will make your fingers smell like old pennies. The copper dulls to a dark brown after a few days of hand oils/acidity; can be preserved with wax or clear coat. Online options to blue or green patina using ammonia and light table salt, but needs added clear top coat to preserve patina. The M390 steel takes more of an effort to sharpen, but holds edge longer vs s35vn. Medium ~3.5oz weight may not be suitable for light dress pants or mesh gym shorts, clip is not reservable for lefties but is a decent deep carry.Sheepsfoot blade is made for effortless cutting held in a Filipino knife grip with thumb on spine.Highly recommended!

Just buy
Yes this is a Chinese made knife, but this takes quality to another level...The ball bearings are smooth, the steel is good quality and overall this is a great knife, my second Kizer knife...prior to this my EDC was a Benchmade, for less than 1/2 the cost I am now using this as my EDC with no real worry about damaging or loosing a $400 knife.

Fantastic.
This is my first Kizer knife, and I am well and truly impressed. The craftsmanship is top notch, with impressive attention to detail paid to every aspect of the piece. The design elements are very thoughtful; from the deep pocket clip, to the thumb studd and the great m390 sheepsfoot blade. It's also great looking with the copper shoulders, micarta scales, and just the right size to get my daily tasks done. This thing has sliced through boxes and rope alike without a hiccup, and shows no sign of becoming dull after a couple months of decent daily usage. This knife is just a pleasure.

1st one bad 2nd one excellent
Like some other reviews the 1st one I received was not what I expected. The detent was so strong that it peeled some skin on my thumb. Basically blister worthy detent. I had it 3 hours trying to break it in with repeated deployment. No luck…I requested an exchange from Amazon (when my thumb said “stop”)2nd one was buttery smooth with snappy deployment, just like the reviews are raving about and the many Youtube videos available. Maybe a bad batch like the T1 but I am thrilled with the one I have now. Beautiful knife, fantastic razer sharp steel, perfect size. Considering a forced patina on the copper but need to do some research first. Some of the results I’ve seen look amazing, at least to me. To each their own though.Advice: if your knife feels wrong, don’t waste the time, just exchange it or return it.

Solid M390 Super-steel knife.
Great little knife. Smooth opening action. M390 steel is arguably the best knife steel on the market although I'm partial to CPM S90V or LC200N. Came hair-whittling sharp. While its a smaller knife, it fits well and comfortably in hand. I have large hands and it suits me just fine. At only $149 its a worthy addition to my ever growing collection of folders. Very pleased with this purchase.
