Love it. Works great!
I use this once or twice a week maximum. I always put toothpaste on my brush first and then dip it into the charcoal. It removes stains better that way without being too abrasive or making a mess. I would recommend never using it straight on your brush.

Love all flavors
My first time using this brand. I got it at TJ Maxx. I love it. It can be a little messy but it brightens your teeth while giving a deeper clean like a Polish and smells fresh. Hasa good taste. 10/10. Careful of the mess

A bit drying but pleased overall.
Edited 1/24/17: After using this for a couple weeks, I have to say I've noticed an unexpected perk: I rarely eat sugar or desserts but, when I do, they always leave a gritty film on my teeth that sometimes doesn't even go away with my electric toothbrush for several brushings. With this, I don't get the grittiness at all, so I assume it actually is polishing, though it didn't previously feel like it.I also think that, instead of the flat cosmetic spatula which is more for creams, they should consider putting an actual cosmetic spoon/scoop; the powder isn't silky so it pours out somewhat clumsily and the flat spatula doesn't hold onto anything and makes more of a mess than anything. A scoop would be much more efficient.I was looking into a more expensive tooth powder but liked this better because, if it has to have a sweetener (which, yeah, it kinda does), I'd rather it be stevia than xylitol (though there are supposedly health benefits to xylitol). Yes, I have to concur that it's a more labor-intensive process than just brushing your teeth but I don't really mind and, now that I have my process down, it's not much longer at all. It took a little experimentation to find out how I like it best/can palette it easier; it's a bit harsh for me to use alone, so I wet my brush, apply a thin layer of my toothpaste (also natural), then dip my brush directly into some powder (from a secondary dish, not the jar itself) and really get it stuck. (I'm usually using this with an electronic toothbrush and it's somehow less messy for me than a manual.) I do need to add more water once I have distributed this all over my teeth because it just sucks the moisture right out of my mouth and feels like I'm brushing with straight dirt - I can't even get my lips back over my teeth because it's so dry (they get stuck open like Fire Marshal Bill). This method is also, so far, the only way I've been able to get my mouth to rinse clean aside from just straight-out brushing twice. When I tried it alone, I rinsed and rinsed and still couldn't get rid of it. (Rinsing with mouthwash instead of just plain water somehow helped.)In just 3 days (using only once a day), I've seen minor whitening, but I didn't expect or need anything dramatic so I'm happy. I didn't feel like my teeth were any smoother/more polished than usual, but I've been using an electric toothbrush my entire adult life so they probably aren't going to get much smoother. I also didn't get any sort of amazing "freshness" that people are talking about but, again, my electric toothbrush is pretty much the bee's knees so I didn't expect that either, but I did hope for a bit more minty-ness. (I got peppermint.) It doesn't taste great, but it's completely tolerable, and I haven't noticed the sweetness to be overwhelming as some people have said. (Full disclosure: I have been avoiding letting this permeate the entirety of my mouth/tongue so it's not hitting all my tastebuds and I, therefore, may be missing this aspect.) If you can tolerate using baking soda, you should be more than ok with this. (It's the same sort of *oddness*, just in a different, better-tasting way, if that makes sense.)The one star off is combined for the rinsing aspect (I live in a drought state and cringed having to use all that water) and that it really dries out my lips and corners of my mouth, which are already sensitive and can't tolerate traditional toothpastes (hence why I was giving this a shot).

OMG, Finally - Tooth-Whitening That WORKS! And It's Safe! And CHEAP!
While I do NOT desire fakey, too-bright, paper-white teeth like all the idiot celebs have, I've been trying for whiter teeth for years now - and I've tried it all, except the very expensive treatments at the dentist. I've done peroxide gel in trays, white pens, white strips, whitening toothpaste and rinses, brushing with baking soda - the whole nine yards. Just by noodling around recently here on Amazon, I came upon charcoal powders. Had never heard of them before. Read about every product here and all the reviews. THIS one had good reviews, great flavors and was the least-expensive of the crowd, so I bought it. Saw improvement after the very first brushing! Nothing drastic, but at least a shade whiter. I'm now one week into using it, and I'm at least two shades whiter and my yellow is GONE. This stuff is amazing! It leaves your teeth pearlier and clean-feeling, in addition to whiter. I have confidence that the more I use it, the whiter my teeth will become. It's also VERY economical - I expect the jar to last at least 6 months, because you use such a small bit each time. One important thing - do NOT dip your toothbrush into the powder - if it gets wet, they say it may mold (eeeww!) I just use the little spoon-thing it comes with to put a dab into the palm of my hand, then dip my wet toothbrush into my palm and away we go! Be advised, you'll look like a zombie as you brush - it's grey-black in the mouth and your sink will look like a coal miner washed up. But it tastes fine (I got the Peppermint) and it's not as gritty as you'd think. Just don't swallow any, and rinse both your mouth and brush very well. I do follow up with my regular toothpaste just for the flouride, but you don't have to. TRY THIS STUFF - it's effective, safe to use daily and cheap - a real find! I've already told everyone I now, and now I'm telling YOU!

MESSY!
Powder is very fine and hard to control. Must clean the surface when done;black dust everywhere. Not seeing where my teeth are any whiter. However, having since used this product the pain in my loose teeth has subsided. Flavor and taste not the best but I'm neutral to it. Unsure if I would repurchase this or recommend at this point.

OMG! Best Amazon Product EVER!
I don't know how I ended up on this product page but I am SO GLAD I DID! This is the best thing I've ever bought from Amazon! I think I was looking for dental tools to scrape some plaque or tarter off one of my teeth since we cancelled our Dental plan. This product showed up in the results and it said "whiter teeth" and had a bunch of positive reviews so I ordered some. Who doesn't like whiter teeth? I used it once with my Oral B electric toothbrush and that stuff went everywhere! I forgot it was on there and took my toothbrush out of my mouth to rinse it off before turning it off LOL!So a couple of days went by and I didn't use it because I just kept seeing THAT BLACK STUFF EVERYWHERE but I persevered and tried it again for a couple of days and O M G ! ! My plaque or tarter on my tooth was G O N E ! ! Like magic! This was the SAME STUFF I COULD NOT SCRAPE OFF with a dental tool! I wish I had taken a before and after picture because I can't even believe it.Just go ahead and buy this!I was not paid or given anything for this review.

It does not taste good
It didn't taste good, I had to throw it away and ordered from someone else. Sorry, you have to improve the taste, others have no flavor or a minty flavor.
