Two Handed Latin Machete

Impressive size, nice edge, easy to hold, the sheath is actually well made for the material, has a back strap, the reviews on Youtube were accurate about this one. Cuts through brush and other materials with ease due to the size. For the price just to have one or if you really need it, or just collect, you will not be disappointed.

This is the best machete on the market for the price. Cold Steel has produced a quality product with this one. I did some research and this was one of the top machetes tried out by CBP personnel for destruction purposes. This bad boy came in the mail and I was impressed. All the other officers I work with like it too. It almost has a sword feel to it. Works best with both hands but well with single hand wielding as well. Sheath isn't bad, its nylon as expected and serves the purpose. This may not last for forever, but its affordable enough you can get another when and IF this one goes to crap. SO far, impressed with the product. I never leave 5 star reviews but this is one that warrants it.

It survived its first 2 hours cutting down some bushes and branches. No dents at all. The only con about it is the handle, I have average size hands and the handle is too thin even to me, easy to turn and get your wrist hurt. Also, I suggest you to sharp it a bit more before first use at least.

After a little elbow grease, to get an edge, this became an awesome machete. It came with a heavy burr to one side. I had a Gerber Gator machete and it didn't last two outings before the edge folded over in several spots. This one is a lot more substantial and has a far better grip. Gerber failed when I hit some hard cedar. This one hacks right through it. Don't waste your money on a Gerber...get a Cold Steel.

Super sharp out of box but with a little honing it can be dangerous. Handle has a few hot spots but with a little polishing you can make a descent grip.

I have been using this to open coconuts from my palms from beginning to end, and to trim hedges and bushes on my property. This has been excellent and I love using it. I highly recommend it. Also, it looks awesome.

Cheesy plastic handle and a dull blade but it’s one hefty tool and I can get both hands on it without wearing gloves. My hands are pretty big. It took an edge well and slices through one inch willow with authority. I can cut enough willow to build a hasty shelter fast. I’ll mostly use this machete to clear paths through devils club and alder, the later being quite difficult to cut through. A quality folding saw is still a necessity in the alders. I hope the plastic handle fools me and holds up.

Well made. Edge was ground off center a little, other than that very happy wih it.
