17" Jumbo Chinese Checker

This game is the perfect size for players both young and old to enjoy an "old fashioned" type of board game. I first saw this board at a friend's house and immediately thought of purchasing it for my elderly parents. I knew they would enjoy playing and the pegs are sturdy, easy to maneuver, and stay in place. The solid wood butcher-block style board is what my friend has and what you have pictured on your Amazon website. My order came in perfect timing for me to give to my parents. I was so excited to give the gift to my parents, that I did not even take it out of the box. After driving two hours to their home, I said that I had a present for them and brought the box in to them. My father likes to guess and thought it might be a regular checker board (close!), but did not guess Chinese checkers. When he opened the box, I was so disappointed to see that the board was laminate, had remnants of glue hardened on the board, and was nicked on two sides. The wooden pegs were painted, but not with the glossy paint, as my friend's board and your website pictured. (When I first picked up the packaged game, I thought the box felt quite light for a solid wooden board?) He and my mother like the game very much and we played right away. They have it as a centerpiece on their coffee table and the solid wooden board would have looked so much nicer. My father is a carpenter by trade and that is also why I wanted the solid board, because he would have appreciated the craftsmanship. As I try to put a positive spin on things, the board is lightweight, so it is easy for them to carry, and playing the game will help to keep their minds sharp. My nieces and nephews will love playing the game with their grandma and grandpa, so that is really the best thing.

Nice and large playing board made of real wood and with pieces that do not roll, make this a premium game with everything an expert would look for. It's well made, heavy, brightly painted and the pieces are real wood and not plastic. It is well worth the price.

My in-laws are 96&86 years old and love to play Chinese Checkers with each other or anyone. However their hands are getting so shaky that the marbles would get knocked out of place each time my father-in-law would make a move and he had a hard time picking up the tiny marbles.This large gameboard and pegs is a great size. It's easy to hold the pegs that are used instead of marbles and is perfect for them. Now they can enjoy many more games without being frustrated by moving marbles.

I take this south and it’s fun to play on a rainy day. The pegs are big and easy for us seniors to play with.

Bought this for my mothers 93rd birthday. She loves it! It’s large enough so 6 people can actually play at the same time. I don’t know how it can be done with a smaller board. The pegs are great as well. A definite buy.

This 17” round Chinese Checkers board is excellent! It is well made and the size is great for multiple players sitting at a large table!

This is a heavy, very well made board with excellent quality finishing and materials. The pegs are solid, slide into the holes easily without catching....overall high quality. However....as this game is played by kids, it absolutely should have the lines drawn, painted or carved into the playing surface. I used a ruler and Sharpie to draw all the lines on the board which worked great but I shouldn't have had to have completed the playing board, something the manufacturer should have done. Also.....the marble variety boards include an extra marble in each color in case one is lost. It would have been excellent and non existent cost for this board to have included one extra peg in each color as backup in case one is lost. Other than these two (very important) reasons, the board is top quality, solid, and I recommend.

Love the size! The pieces are easy to handle.
