Great ideas for group lessons. Wording is a little old school but the ideas are perfect for keeping variety in the lessons.

I've purchased several books to aid in lesson planning and this one provides the most organized themes, focusing on a particular skill. The drills can be used in a systematic way to build skill upon skill for both horse and rider. The "what", "how", and "why" is good for explaining the skill to the students.

Good ideas in this book I just take ideas from it don’t follow the plans exactly.

Feel like it's a lot of basic exercises and geared to more group lessons. Was looking for something new to keep beginners and younger children interested in a one on one lesson.

It is a great resource for any level instructor. Some students need to even go back to basics. On the Cons, it is a dry read, but if you can bring yourself to read it you can learn many things. It even has lesson plan illustrations for exercises.
