HWC20" Police Security Issue Breakaway Tie Closure 3" Wide COLOR: BLACK

I work as a security guard. Ties are often a part of the uniform for a 'professional appearance' but ties provide a pre-positioned, pre-tied noose for anybody who wants to hurt me. Clip-on ties look tacky. I have worn this model tie in several military inspections calling for a black tie and I passed--but the clip-on tie would be a NO-GO because it looks clipped on! The breakaway is actually tied with a knot and looks far more professional. This breakaway tie is slightly adjustable and the breakaway is secure for most activities, but will part when yanked or pulled long before it chokes. The shirt collar lapels make a better choking device (refer to your favorite martial arts studio for details), but most people don't know about that; they do know about using a tie against the wearer. Of course, when the tie breaks away, you need to do something--you've been assaulted and a garrot constitutes deadly force!

Thus is a great looking tie. I'm not sure why other reviewers said it wasn't big enough. I'm a pretty solid 250lbs, 2XL usually in shirts and about a 17 and a half neck. It has a super strong Velcro closure in the back, and gave plenty; still had some to give. Again, looks great with dress uniform

Looks good when worn with sunglasses, especially when your standing next to others wearing the same tie and sunglasses. The tie comes pre-tied, which wasn't a big deal except for when I went to untie it, I noticed that a small piece of plastic keeps the knot in place. After breaking the plastic strip and re-tying it, I noticed that the material likes to slide quite a bit, keeping it from staying snug and secure for very long. The velco, likewise, is too strong. I had a friend try to remove it from my neck by yanking on it, and only succeeded in hurting my neck in the process. Using about 1/5 of the total velcro, we discovered it'll break with enough force if someone pulls on it, but won't come loose while wearing it.Overall not a bad product, but it does have a couple of flaws. Even still, I'd recommend this over wearing a regular tie if your work has you around any type of heavy machinery or potentially dealing with less than the model citizen.

I use it with my class A uniform. I have a 21 inch neck, it adjusts to a good fit

Great product, fits great. I'm a correctional worker and the only thing I would like was a button hole on the tie instead having to use a tie clip due on to metal detector purposes. Great product all in all
