As an older man with long flowing blond (and grey) hair, I decided years ago to start wearing my hair in a ponytail. Yes, I'm one of those older men with sparse hair on top of my head and long hair growing out of the sides and back. Developing a proper look takes longer than expected as whomever cuts your hair has to think ahead and plan for eventual growth on the sides to be pulled back into the ponytail. The othe problem was how to effectively pull it back and secure it so that it didn't come loose at an inopportune moment. After trying several types of elastic and yarn holders, I met the actual inventor of the Scrunci hair products at a conference in Florida. Her ties stay where you put them and are easy to both put on and remove. They are far more durable than you would expect and last much longer than anticipated. This multi colored pack gives you the advantage of matching colors to your outfits. Black is the best all around color but I have found uses for all of them. They are reasonably priced, well made, and hold their color well. If you are careful with keeping them hair-free without accidently cutting the gel, they will last a long time.

Best new hair elastics ever!!! They are like gel or silicone, stretch and stretch back to their original size. Bright colours make them even more fabulous and they don't break like all the others. Make the mauve color DEEPER PURPLE and create DEEP FUSCIA and NEON GREEN ... Just love these!!! Only make them a little thicker and in smaller sizes for thinner hair and your original size. I bought a pack of these many years ago from Boots. Over the years they disappeared apart from just a few which was a shame as the few left are still as good as the day I bought them. I didn't think I'd ever find them again as occasionally I look in Boots but they are never there. Then imagine my relief when I saw they are here on Amazon. I couldn't believe it. I read the reviews which are great and so went for it. I'm using just two as I still have the few others from years ago but I was curious to see if they were the same standard. They don't feel as robust as the older ones but I have to say, they are going strong after a couple weeks usage. I wear them at night in two plaits when it's warmer weather. Very pleased. I think they're going to last a long time.

I purchased these after becoming super frustrated that other "sturdy" hair ties left my incredibly thick hair in ponytails and buns that would be saggy moments after putting my hair up. With these hair ties, my hair isn't going ANYWHERE, regardless of what I'm doing. They don't permanently stretch out over time, they last a good amount of time before breaking, and they hold super tightly. I have been using these hair ties for multiple years and can't imagine going back to regular hair ties. The only con that comes with these tight, non-stretching hair ties is that you can't really wear them around your wrist unless you have teeeeeny tiny wrists. They dig in and it's not comfortable. I tend to keep one around the middle three fingers of my hand If I'm not using it, and it works just fine. I also keep a couple on my key carabiner. Additionally, you have to be kinda careful when taking your hair out of these hair ties, as if you're not careful and your hair gets tangled around the band, you might lose a couple strands of hair. I can see this being more of an issue for people with tightly curled hair. All in all, these are FANTASTIC hair ties. Highly reccommended!
