We purchased this hammock because we were told it fit well with the extra long hammock we were buying. It was recommended by the hammock company. It cost more than our other hammock stand, which is strong and sturdy, yet it is not as good. Granted, our other hammock stand is for normal length hammocks, and this one can accommodate bigger sizes, but the joints where the bars fit into each other allow way too much movement. It still holds, but looks flimsy when you see how much the bars can move back and forth in their joints - more give than is normal. And then of course we couldn't send it back without paying to ship it which would cost way too much since it is super heavy. My husband ended up putting a metal shim in the wiggly space so that there wouldn't be so much movement where the two bars meet, just to make it not be able to move so much and be more firm.
