It's great!
This newer model cable is great. The older ones would sometimes have static in either the mic or the headset, but this one seems to be much more rugged. Sound is pure, crisp, and clean, too. I think the best part though is the wrapping around the cable. It just feels more robust and secure - it can be twisted, bent, or even hit with something sharp and the outside structure protects it.Hoping this one lasts a long time - it sure looks like it will.

Amazing sound and quality
Honestly, I’ve owned 3-4 different splitters and this one took the throne. Not only is it all black, seamlessly connecting to my headphone cable without looking like two different cables, but it is also durable and sturdy. Don’t even get me started on performance, the sound is very clear and crisp.For the price, the performance and value is worth much more. Incredible accessory. Definitely recommend!!

Microphone doesn't work!!
I bought it thinking it would work good, but the microphone doesn't seem to work at all I tried everything from unplugging and replugging it in but no response in my microphone.
