Zabiki Bias Lighting Kit 6500k Backlight for up to 27" Computer Monitors, comes with DIMMER, and VELCRO SECURING SYSTEM

In less than 2 months, some of the bulbs have developed what appear to be burn marks. - This causes the light to glow yellow instead of the 6500k color temperature these were claimed to be initially calibrated to - I sent a support request to Zabiki however they have yet to respond *Edit* The seller has refunded me the money so I can purchase a replacement.

Fantastic bias lighting kit! Comes with a dimmer, and these LEDs are the kind with a clear coating over the whole strip instead of being exposed. The strip itself has a hook-and-loop (Velcro-like) backing, and the kit comes with another strip with the corresponding hook-and-loop surface, making it possible to remove and replace the LED strip easily. The dimmer works very well, and it all powers directly from a USB port on your monitor or TV. When you turn on the screen, the bias lighting automatically comes on, too. Pretty cool. The lighting itself is a nice, soft white that, without measuring, seems to be 6500k as advertised. The end effect is a much better experience looking at my computer monitor. Fewer headaches and less eye strain, plus it makes the colors seem to "pop" more and the contrast seem more pleasing. Five stars! This is one of the better-designed bias lighting kits I've seen! My only complaint is that the part where the cable meets the strip is a bit rigid and sticks out a bit if you run the strip right to the edge of your monitor, but that can be re-adjusted thanks to the hook-and-loop strip. Note: Just to clear up any possible "paid shill" accusations, this was a purchased item and was NOT supplied to me by the vendor or anyone else. My review is an honest assessment of my experience with a product I chose and purchased for regular price.

I purchased this at the end of July and in less than 6 months it has turned from a nice bright white to a dull yellow and greenish glow -after only minimal use for nighttime computer use (~5-10 hours a week). Stay away!

Product is nice and bright at the highest setting and does indeed improve picture quality. The Dimmer is a nice touch since I don't always want it on with the monitor. The glue used, however, is sub par. I've had the light-strip separate from its velcro and the velcro that goes on the monitor has also fallen off its glue strip. I purchased a roll of "clear" Velcro tape and after applying that everything is perfect. Despite the poor glue, I still think this is a good product. All other Bias Lighting strips that I've tried have had the same problem with the glue and this one at least comes with a dimmer switch and is rated at 6500k.

So, I actually like these lights. However, much like of of the other posters, around the 3 month mark my lights also went to an odd yellow-green color. Other than this color changes, the lights worked as labeled. Just wish I didn't have a set that died so quickly. Oh and I wish the USB cable was configured differently. The controller portion is too close to the USB part and I'd prefer it closer to the lights as it makes it easier to adjust the brightness as needed.

UPDATE: I contacted the seller directly through email, and they graciously issued me a full refund, which I then used to purchase another of their products. They stood behind their product and did their best to make sure I was satisfied. Two weeks after the return window has closed, the light has turned yellow. It started as a nice cool white, but has gotten closer to mustard color now. I use this on the back of a computer monitor, ans it's only turned on for a few hours a week. Very disappointing since I have other Zabiki lighting kits, and they are still performing well after months of use on my tv's.

Lasted 3 months. Now when I turn them on they are a sickly pale yellow light instead of the bright white they started as. Of course it's past the time I can return them so I'm out the money.

I LOVE THIS ITEM! I have it on all of the TV's in the house now. It is very exciting that they all have it now. I love the way that it changes the game for our TV viewing experience. It is like being at the cinema to some degree. It makes our TV look so much better. It also is and or provides a move relaxing viewing experience for our eyes.
