The Talon 90 ESC is probably the best you can buy for this size. 90A covers a lot of larger models. The heat sink is great, and it has a 20A BEC (most ESC's only have a 5A BEC). I like how the motor wires plug into the ESC instead of the more typical 3 wires coming out of the ESC. This is my "go to" product for all my 60-120 ARF projects. The only negative is that it is max rated for 6s. If you have an 8s setup, you need to go to something like the Castle Talon 120HV, which is a big jump in price -- even if the amp draw is under 90.

This ESC works great. Very simple to program with castles programmer. The built in BEC’s made for a clean install reducing weight and extra components full needed power with digital servos and zero brown outs. It’s a great surprise seeing the efficiency of this ESC run without creating any heat with an old Z power motor 1100 KV 6S system. I hope to not find out if it’s waterproof though. See myself buying more of these units as I revamp several older birds.

I can always depend upon castle esc to perform. This Talon 90 has a 20 amp bec, and will perform well for years. I never have to worry about my esc when it is a castle. Its all i use…..

castle creations is a good product. sometimes you have to use a BEC with them, if no BEC is combined with ESC but it works well.
