3in1 Vapor Barrier Flooring Underlayment w/Overlap and pre-Attached Tape Strip - Bestlaminate- 2mm - 100sq.ft roll

The big box stores sell underlayment that is almost expensive as the flooring is. So I went to my trusty Zon and found this product. Received quickly which is great because I was ready to get to work. It's so light weight and mostly easy to use. It has vapor barrier on the back and I used Tuck Tape on the seamseven though there is a peel and stick edge for the seams. The Tuck Tape just really helped it lay in place better and it's only like $7 so get a roll of it as well. It is easy to tear or slice through this, so the Tuck Tape comes in handy for repairing any areas you damage and will help maintain the vapor barrier properties. For such small rolls you get a lot of coverage. It took 2 rolls to do my 11.5 x 15 room, so just order enough for the same square footage as your flooring. Provides cushion and sound dampening underneath my LVP making it not feel so "plastic", and since most manufactirers require underlayment to satisfy warranty requirements why spend a lot for that if you don't have to? This product is a serious great value.

Perfect for our floor project and saved me enough money to have a nice dinner. Don’t get ripped off at the big hardware stores.

I bought this underlayment to use in my hallway. At first I didn’t think it was going to work because it’s not very thick. Since using this underlayment it is so much quieter when walking. Installment was also extremely easy. I think this is well worth the money.

Significantly cheaper than anything else I've seen out there. Slightly thinner than some underlay (2mil thick), but for the price this is hard to beat. I installed this directly on a poured concrete basement floor underneath textured laminate planks (~800 square feet) and am quite happy with it. I cannot personally comment on its performance over wood subfloor however, but I plan on using this again when I refloor an upstairs bedroom so I may update this after that.Four stars instead of five because out of 6 rolls I ordered, three were cut somewhere in the roll requiring reseaming. This was a minor nuisance, but a nuisance that should not have been. I would expect each roll to provide a continuous 100sq.ft and not have to be patched together at some random point in the roll.Overall I would recommend this underlay to anyone who wishes to have an easy(er) time of installing everything you need under laminate flooring (vapor barrier, minimal leveling, and sound reduction). As mentioned in other reviews, you can pay almost twice the price elsewhere and get essentially the same thing.

Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ I bought a couple rolls of this a few years ago, and this is and isn't a review 😅 It works well and does what it should, but I have a question. What is this underlayment actually made of?Backstory: I had a major ant infestation, and went a little crazy with water based cleaners... Looong story short, mold under my flooring 😬 I want to be sure I've got all the mold off the underlayment before putting more planks down. I was thinking of using Cleaning Vinegar, but if there's something like rubber mixed in the underlayment, I could really damage it.So, please, if anyone can answer me, I really need to know what this is made of 🙇🏼‍♀️

I have purchased this before so knew what I was getting. Its easy to install, sturdy and provides the right amount of cushion, yet is very affordable!

Comes with no directions. Fragile, must move & cut carefully. More than 200sqft. Easily adheres to the tape edge of roll as it is laid out side to side. Immediately we felt the difference in the temptature from the ground below.

Received quickly in perfect condition. This product is much easier to use because of the built-in tape edge. Also very quiet to walk on after flooring is installed - no snapping or popping noises like some I've heard. Manufacturer's web site has instructional video that is worth watching. My tip - when taping edges, peel off paper backing strip about 6-8 inches at a time, and align and stick the two edges together. Work your way along the entire length. Don't peel off the entire length and try to put it together! Do short sections. Nice product!
