A good quality basic watch with easy to read large face.
Men's quartz watch. Resin case, resin band, resin, glass. One of Casio's least expensive watches and one of the best. This specific model MW-240, the face is 3.5 centimeters across with large numbers making it easy to read for older folks or people who wear glasses, but not so large as to look out of place (remember this is a men's watch.) In a month it can lose time by +/- a minute or two. I reset mine once a week to keep it accurate. It is battery operated and super simple to use. The little knob on the side does nothing other than set the time. Pull it out to stop the watch. Turn it to set time. Look at another more accurate clock. When the time is right press the knob to start watch again. This is the 2nd one I have owned. It says it has a 3 year battery. Mine lasted 3 years 2 months. You could go to the trouble of replacing the battery but for $5 a year it is easier to just discard the watch and buy a new one. One issue - Casio makes other watches which in amazon's photos look nearly identical to this one. When I replaced the old one I bought what looked like the same watch with white background and black numbers. It was about half the size of the MW-240 and I could not read it. Make sure the listing says "Easy to Read Display" and the "case diameter" is around 44 millimeters. A basic watch. Does nothing except tell time. Super easy to use. Inexpensive. Easy to read. Should be Casio's best seller.

Analog in these digital times
Just a simple watch that looks good and keeps time. No bells and whistles. I'm trying to get away from checking my phone for the time because inevitably that sucks me into social media, etc. This watch is perfect solution. Water resistant so no worries about rain or moisture causing issues. Large clear numbers. No night light which some may want but I don't need. Watch back is removable instead of snap on like my old Timex - so you can easily change out the battery without a watch press. Feels lightweight on the arm and the face is the perfect size. Price point is spectacular. Does not make any noise.

Great value watch!
I love this watch. It is a good size for someone with a larger wrist. I had one for several years and gave it away. Bought it again when the price dropped to $15 after Xmas 2025. It is light weight and so comfortable you forget it is there. Basic black so it goes with most anything. Keeps great time!

really good but arm broke after 4 months of slight abuse
dude i love this thing. its decently accurate, looks good (the 1s especially), and also fits with like any outfit i throw at it. its honestly a great watch and i wear it basically 24/7. the issue is that today the bit where one of the arms connect broke when i was putting on my jacket 😭😭😭 i guess i shouldve seen that coming because it gets wet constantly and is kinda dirty, and it makes putting a jacket on kinda hard cus it gets caught sometimes, but still. its sad either way im gonna absolutely buy another watch from this brand, its too good not to apss up

Working well , keeps accurate time, easy to read , very reasonable price
Simple no frill time keeping, dependable back up for cell phone battery/ alarm issues, the wrist band is a bit stiff, but not a big problem.

Great beater watch to have
I bought this to wear as a beater watch...in other words, one that's easy to read that I could wear swimming, working on the car, or doing other rough stuff that would be abusive to watches and prematurely damage or age them. For $15, you can't go wrong with this watch. Pros: > Easy to read due to large white numerals & hands against a black background. > Stylish in a very simple & elegant way so that it can be worn for any occasion without being flashy or cheap looking. > Band is a little wider than normal, which is more comfy and tougher. > Price is right, so that if I damage or break it, I don't care. Cons: > The clear face is plastic, not crystal. Crystal would have been a nice touch for added toughness & scratch resistance. I have no idea how well this plastic face will endure over time, but if your hand is buried deep in an engine or other machinery, or scrapes against the side of a pool, I have a feeling it'll scratch up pretty good. But time will tell. > No day/date, which I would have liked to have. I looked all over Amazon's lineup of Casio watches for a similar looking one with day/date, and under $20, and there are none. I looked at other reliable name-brands too, but they had none that could compete with this Casio on simplicity & price. That being said, I would gladly pay a few dollars more if it had a crystal face and day/date function. Other than that, it's a great watch at a good price that you can beat around and not worry about.

Perfect Cheap Watch For Rugged Work
This watch is perfect for what I do. It has a ticking hand that counts seconds which is very important. I'm on my second one only because I finally managed to bust my other one after a few years of abuse working as an EMT on the ambulance and backpacking/camping in below freezing damp environments. I know some of you are immediately rolling your eyes with that EMT statement, but bear with me: this watch is super cheap for what it is. I have been able to wash it off from messy patients without a problem, which if you know what I mean, is a pretty big deal. Not to mention if I kill it or just want to toss it because it's covered in... "soil" then I can easily just buy another one without having to pick up OT, you know? Basically, it's cheap enough that I don't care if it breaks or gets tossed and despite that, it holds up to a lot of abuse for a few years. I've had it snap off my wrist from getting caught on stuff, and it easily popped back together like nothing happened. Bonked against hard surfaces multiple times every day, scratched with sharp stuff, etc, and it kept right on working without damage. So if you're looking for a cheap, analogue, moderately durable watch with a second hand, I can't recommend this enough. It'll do the job for a few years, and when it dies, you can buy another one for a fraction of what most people spend on watches. Especially if you work in an intensive job where you're gonna smack your watch around, run it under the faucet, and get it stuck pinned on stuff. You don't want to put an expensive watch through that. This one will do great in that environment from my experience at least. Only annoying part is it doesnt glow or light up, but the white numbers with black background make it pretty easy to still make out in the dark.

Great Watch
Casio. Black on black with white dashes, no numbers. No date. No alarm. Doesn’t light up or glow in the dark. Not too big or small with a thin enough profile to never be in the way or catching on things. It tells time........very well. That’s it, that’s all it does for me, and so with a simplistic and classic style sure to be copied by all who lay eyes on it. Five stars all the way and for $20 is a great value. I traded my G-Shock for this watch and I am very happy that I did. Side note: Have showered with it on with no issues. Update September 27, 2024: Purchased in 2019, I still wear this watch every day. It has held up well through work, swimming, sand, showering, jail …..and it continues to tell nearly perfect time. Replaced the Battery every 6 months to a year depending on the quality of the battery. This only requires a P0 or P00 (tiny Philips) driver and a pair of tweezers. I think the battery is 357. I had to replace the spring loaded pins that hold the band onto the timepiece after I snagged something and bent them. Found the replacements here on Amazon. Great watch and worth every cent of the $20 I paid for it. Thank you Casio for not selling me crap. Maybe there is still hope.
