Originally purchased for a 14' diameter pool-side cantilever umbrella, but this set is too short for that spare length and would have looked "sparse" on the ends for a good 4+ feet.Retasked them to one of our patio umbrellas that's 11' diameter and these fit perfectly, likely ideal on a 10' umbrella.+1 for having the ability to install three AA-batteries and have the option for a USB source. We keep a solar charged battery bank on the patio and it's easy to just plug into that at dusk but have the AA's as quick-on backup.They are not very bright, providing more of an ambient color glow and less of a glaring bright blast. You'll still want a lantern/table lamp on-hand.See video for example of them on a random fade pattern just after dusk. We have a hunter green canopy, I imagine the color diffusion is even better on lighter fabric.

Beautiful string of lights for my umbrella, it worked very well this year even held up to multiple rain storms. Wish there were two more strands, but really nothing I can do about that. Super cool settings with multiple colors and brightness is great.

Guess I can write an actual review once I get these attached to the patio umbrella, THEY COME WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS!!!

The media could not be loaded. It really should be five stars. These really are great lights, and most people will be very happy with them. But there is no white. The photo is the white setting. Always being colored with no white, like for reading. It’s a definite minus, they are worth it

This was so hard to install without any instructions in the box. I wish it came with printed instructions so I didn't have to look it up on my phone while I'm outside on a ladder. The included zip-ties were way too small and flimsy. After breaking 5 ties and not even being able to thread some others, I ordered different zip-ties that were 3x larger and much more heavy duty. Get larger zip-ties, they will make your installation so much faster! But honestly, the seller really should just include better ties with their product.The lights are fun and bright once installed, although "fade" mode is more like strobe mode (it's so fast!!). I was hoping fade was a softer slower blinking. Unfortunately there are only 3 fast modes (other than the static colors), but it's too much of a pain to remove the lights after the difficult installation. I would not buy these again.

The media could not be loaded. These lights work great. Could be a bit brighter, but they're for ambient lighting. The zip ties provided we're frustrating to use, a bit too short & terrible quality. I bought some at the hardware store and installation went smoothly with good zip ties.I had to do an install 2X as a strong wind came along and snapped my wooden umbrella in two the day after install. So I had to un-install & re-install lights. My new umbrella has white solar lights pre-installed. I would recommend this if you need more light. I mostly keep the white lights off and just use these.The remote works well and comes in handy. I use 3 AAA batteries and haven't had to change them yet (the batteries last a long time). I haven't tried the USB power port yet.

The media could not be loaded. Very nice lights. They really are for ambiance and nothing more. Everyone that has seen them loves them. Installing them is a giant pain in the ass with no instructions provided but simple enough to figure out on your own. I would suggest getting more small zip ties than what comes with it because there just simply aren't enough. I used 78 total and it comes with 15-20 so plan ahead. Installation takes about 30 minutes or so depending on how nice of a job you want to end up with. The variety of light colors is awesome. We leave it on the changing mode all the time because it looks awesome.
