We do not know what size the Sun Sun filter media trays, etc., are since we do not make that brand, however, this carbon is suitable for all brands of filters. The bags are pretty flexible and approximately 5.5" x 5.75". Hope this helps!

Could I use this for removing oders in the air, not in a aquarium?

Activated carbon can remove odors and gases from the air, however you generally move the air through the carbon in order to do so, like you move water throught it in a fish tank. We have not researched this application with our carbon however and cannot recommend it.

can these be used in the penn plax canister 100 filter canister?
