Great replacement
Recently purchased a house with a pool and the light never worked. I researched the old light and this light was the exact replacement I needed. It was easy to replace and works great. It's bright! If you're planning on replacing it yourself, be sure to watch some DIY videos on YouTube. Don't pay someone $500 to replace it. You can do it yourself!

Nice product, wouldn't fit
Unfortunately, I had to return this light as it didn't fit my pool niche despite calling manufacturer and seller. 5 stars for project, less stars for spending hours and finding out this won't work. This is an original manufacturer light in new condition as promised in the listing, so I highly recommend it. Note: Every pool light requires special housing to fit. The back of this is a long metal cone with metal clips on the back of the rim whereas my Colorlogic 4.0 is thin, flat plastic disk that fits into flat shallow housing.

Installed myself - works great!
I had watched videos on youtube on installation of pool lights, and was able to successfully install myself. Luckily, where the wires come out on the other end was only a few feet away from the pool, making it easier. I replaced the bulb with an LED one also from Amazon (LINK BELOW) , since I wanted a longer-life, lower-energy-consumption bulb that I wouldn't have to replace for quite a while. They both work great together. Got the whole thing installed, seems to be water tight and I was pleased I didn't spend $900+ for a service to install an LED light for me. It took about an hour or so, and the only help I needed was from my husband to feed wires through. It would have been tough to do without another person for that part.Light: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TZPKZZK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Light Again
I bought this light to replace one that was original to the pool, which was built in the 1980s. I worried about being able to pull the old wire through the underground conduit, but all went smoothly. If you can replace an electrical outlet or switch, you can replace a pool light. Don't remove the old wire and run fish tape through the conduit to grab the new wire at the light cavity. And don't run a pull line, as some sources recommend, through the conduit by splicing one to the old wire at the switch box and pulling from the light-cavity side. Use the original wire as your pull line and save a step. Cut the old wire at the light. Then securely splice that cut end to the new wire's free end (the end opposite of the light). Wrap the splice with electrical tape. Ensure that the wrapped diameter of the splice is no fatter than the wire. Now, go to the opposite end of the old wire at the switch box or connector box. Clamp vice grips on the end of the old wire and pull your old wire out trailed by the new. Once you connect everything and night comes, you'll appreciate how well the light illuminates with a soft glow.

Nice quality and it work well, would be nice if it used a whiter light and came with an LED bulb.
Not my first one, I needed a new one because I moved the junction box and needed a light with a longer cord. My original light was 2007 and was fine. I had replaced the incandescent bulb with an LED and it was a big improvement. The bulb it comes with is a warmer/yellow color and I like the look of a cooler whiter color in the pool. I have not swapped the bulb in the new light yet but will likely to look better and to save a little money as the LED doesn't use as much electricity either. Quality does not look like it has changed in the paste 15 years which is nice.

First replacement of the same item since the pool was installed in 2003.
I am the pool owner who is a retired health professional who also did all the electrical work for the original pool which passed inspection. Replacing this light fixture was easy particularly cutting the defective fixture off the electrical cord and attaching the end of the new one (only needed 15 feet) to pull it through to the junction box. Of note, the presence of algae in the one-inch wet conduit made the wire very slippery and thereby easy to pull. Before installing I removed the 500-watt incandescent bulb and substituted a 40-watt high intensity blue LED light. All is good.

Pretty impressive
For the most part all the colors nicely illuminate, except red. Our pool is white so I was really hoping red would come through nicely, but no bueno. Our pool is pretty large, but the other colors have no problem lighting up the entire pool length, about 40ft. Blue is definitely the best and the color I wanted the most. The remote looks like a cell phone from 1990 with the long antenna, works about as good too. We have to get within 3-5ft of the light for it to work, but it does work. The only real con is that it doesn't have bluetooth. I tried finding one that has an app that you can select your own colors and modes like my light post bulbs, but no luck. At least I can match my light posts to the exact pool color. Overall, its a great light.
