100% the real deal!
Perfect heat for me. Also great texture and flavor. Just the right amount of dryness to let you pull it apart pretty easily. Yes salty, but that’s as I expect real jerky to be. High-quality beef. I don’t know how it could be any better!

No Taste
Not only is it not hot at all, It doesn't even taste like beef the taste is bland. No zing, no heat, no spice. Will not be purchasing it again.

Perfect!
This is how beef jerky is supposed to be. Dry, tough and delicious. So many "jerky" companies want a soft tender product. If you want soft and tender, go eat a steak. Because that'swhat you want, not beef jerky. I also appreciate that this is not made with sugar. Another element that ruins good beef jerky. If you want soft and you want sweet, try a snickers. Jerky shouldn't be made with a bucket of sugar. If you appreciate an old fashioned, properly made REAL jerky, then this here is your Huckleberry. 😉

Exceptional
I have ordered these more than a couple times throughout a period of time, but never manage to remember to write a well-deserved review for it. There had been a time when I was looking for the best jerky I could find on Amazon (now I think about it, they might just be the best jerky I could find PERIOD - for my personal taste, of course). When I first started out ordering these, they came in a transparent but very sturdy plastic package with with or without vacuum (I cannot remember) and definitely with no words/description on the package itself. Now I think they come with a package still without vacuum but have their appearances more resembling products you would likely see on a store shelf. I have to mentional that the new bag is resealable which is a big plus. Although without vacuum, they seem to be handling their product preservation pretty well as I have never received anything defective. As for the taste and quality, I have always been satisfied with them. I order them by pound and most of my orders were the "Old Fashioned - Hot & Spicy" flavor in strips. They are dry enough as I like jerkys but thin enough so it shouldn't be a problem to work through them. They taste like real meat BECAUSE THEY ARE. I personally never buy jerkys that are not pieces of meat because it defeats the purpose of jerky - if I wanted ground beef I would get those. Back to the subject, the flavoring is very good with a little room for improvement for my taste. The dryed pepper and other flavoring are sprinkled on the meat. I personally would prefer them being a little more spicy for the Hot & Spicy flavor but what they do preserve the taste of the meat really well for people who like some spicyness but still want to taste the original meat flavor. I personally have never had a problem with quality etc. but I know those are unavoidable sometimes with delivery / slipping out of quality control, which I doubt the latter happens a lot according to my sample size and results. But it happens with ordering food online. I would definitely encourage you to give these a chance if that is the only concern (or no concern at all, which is great) making you hesitant to try.

Decent dry jerky
I've eaten a lot of jerky's and am picky. My favorite jerky for reference is from Harris Ranch is central CA. Whenever I drive by on the way from Socal to Norcal or vice versa, it's a must stop to pick some up. I like due to the taste and texture with it being fresh and medium soft and moist. I do not like any of the bigger store brand jerky's much at all. I hate added sugar to my jerky's. I do not like sweet jerky. This a harder dry jerky. However it's not tough and hard to chew. It's dry but a bit crumbly when you chew it, which is good. It's got a mild flavor. The spicy is a very mild spicy - fine for kids. It's probably not quite 4 stars, but for most people I think better than 3. It's worth getting a bag to have around and try and munch on from time to time.

It's fine. Not worth the hate, but it's not great either.
This jerky is fine. It's just fine. Not gonna lie, I'm super disappointed that this was not hot and spicy at all. I wanted to crack some joke about how white folk don't know spicy in Oklahoma, but I've had other brands from Oklahoma (and other parts of the country of course) spicy enough to make me HAVE to Pace myself when eating it. The flavor was fine, by inconsistent. Sometime I would get a piece that would be really good, the next would be okay, then I'd get a piece that would have a lot of fat on it... I really wanted to give this jerky a try because they've been doing it a long time, and I wanted to possibly add a positive review after the several reviews they've had related to spoiled batches (that can kill a company). I don't think I'll order this jerky again though. It's not moist and sweet like so many other trash brands of jerky out there... It's nice and dry... But it's not tough and it has too much fatty content without flavor.
