It does pretty much everything an HVAC tech needs, both residential and commercial. Volts, amps, uA for flame sensors, Ohms, capacitance. It doesn't do temps but that's not a big deal for me. That's what a separate thermometer is for, right?I've been in the business for 20 years. I've tried Fluke, Fieldpiece, Klein and many other meters. At the price point this is at, along with doing everything I need it to do, this meter is what I'd suggest for anyone in HVAC.What I'm most impressed about is they took user safety into consideration when it was designed. There's a spot to hook up a test lead that mounts on the clamp so you don't have to get your hands near a hot wire, a voltage detector, alligator clips that screw on instead of clipping into place. Everything that keeps you from getting shocked.It's just a great meter. You don't need to spend 3x the $$$ to get a reliable and accurate one.My only complaint is there's no magnet on the back. I glued one on to get it to stick to RTUs when taking my readings but it's only a minimal complaint.

Bought this meter for when I work on oil burners, since I don't need anything fancy. It works great but is not as nice as other meters I have. It would be a great first meter for a new tech or a cheap backup meter.

This tool is great to have when you are doing HVAC tune ups and it’s very accurate when getting readings, that pop up in seconds. It comes with a nice little pouch to store it in and it comes with alligator clamps for when you need to get readings on live wirings or plugs. This neat little tool is great to start out with, if you want to get into HVAC or electrical work. It’s also very affordable and perfect to use out in the field on units. Absolutely love it and very satisfied with it! 5/5 stars 👍

Meter works well but it has no backlight, or at least I cannot find it on this meter. Also I owned a different model made by UEI but lost it, left on a jobsite, and the meter leads tucked in slots on back side of the meter. This model also has that feature but the leads will not fit into the slots designed to hold them in place without modifying them on a belt sander. Leads are too large to fit in the slots on the meter. Otherwise its a great meter.

Got a great price on this unit. I am amature hvac tech. I needed this to test capacitor function, also the Amp clamp. So far does a good job at half the price .

Good quality work well

This Multimeter meets all electrical testing needs a Beginner DIY'ers could need. I needed the Amp Clamp in order to confirm proper water heater element functioning BEFORE I took the water heater apart. Continuity & voltage tests were good but I still had poor hot water amounts. The Amp Clamp confirmed I had the proper Amps flowing through the elements which indicates I need to look elsewhere for my lack of hot water issues. Next likely culprit, the Shower mixing valve cartridge.

Cheaply made, mine is still working just fine but the leads already broke off. I would say just save a lil more money and buy a true rms fieldpiece meter
