I was handed a box which looks like someone sat on it. When I opened it, all the compass parts and accessories which should be in the plastic case were all out, just lying there in the box. But the plastic case is intact with the sticker in place! How in the world did all the things get out? Also, a needle and a screw is missing...So the item is unusable. Very unprofessional. So disappointing...i would rate it a zero if possible.

I bought this because I needed a decent compass with a pen holder. I had persevered for some time with an old but very solid drawing kit that used ruling pens and wasn't able to hold a fine liner or a pen. I think I was a bit put off by the product name "school compass", which made me think this might not be a serious bit of kit, but I was wrong. The hinge section is metal and very secure. The interchangeable legs are plastic, but look reasonably durable. Most importantly, the compass draws a good consistent circle with no creep either wider or narrower. The pen holder, which is what I bought the kit for, will hold a pencil, mechanical pencil or fine liner, and even an extra fine sharpie, and performs just as well with these attached. With the extension bar in place, I have the range to cover anything I'm going to need to draw on an A3 sheet of paper. The only limitation is at the smaller end of the range, where there's a practical minimum radius with pen holder of about 16 or 17 mm due to the pen touching the centre wheel thread.All in all a very good instrument at a very reasonable price.

Sono un tecnico ed ho utilizzato compassi, o meglio il medesimo compasso, acquistato per gli anni di scuola, sino a quando non si è passati ai vari CAD per il disegno tecnico (oggi lo utilizza mio figlio ed è ancora in ottime condizioni). Ho acquistato questo prodotto per mia figlia (scuola elementare) senza leggere descrizione e recensioni, ma l'ho subito reso perché, a mio giudizio, è inconcepibile realizzare un compasso quasi interamente in plastica. Deluso da un marchio che è stato sempre simbolo di qualità e professionalità, ma purtroppo oggi siamo ridotti a questo .....

Arrived on time. Bought to replace a cheap compass sourced from high street. This one I can draw circles with out any movement to change circle size. It is very easy to use. Wanted for drawing mandala's and embroidery designs. Would highly recommend to any one wanting an easy to use, reliable instrument.

No hay mucho que decir, es un compás de plástico y metal muy resistente y la garantía de que es de una marca muy reconocida y que hacen productos de buena calidad. Viene en un estuche donde está el compás, un tubo con una mina de lápiz de repuesto y el adaptador. Además tiene una regla en el borde del estuche (a mi me va bien ese detalle). Me gusta porque lo tengo bien guardado, todo junto en el estuche y no se pierde nada. En general encuentro que es suave para ajustarlo y suficientemente firme para que no se mueva mientras lo estás usando. Personalmente estoy satisfecha y cumple de sobra mis necesidades. A veces no hace falta comprarte el más caro.Para quien no sepa utilizar el adaptador, es sencillo, simplemente se quita la parte que lleva la mina, se afloja el tornillo que sujeta esa parte y se pone el adaptador.Espero te sea útil mi reseña

Bought this compass from Amazon warehouse. Like new I was told. Well that’s not the case . Speaking of case mine was damaged. I could live with that but what upsets me was the spare lead and metal scribe was missing. The metal scribe was what I wanted as I intended to use the compass for woodworking. Compass itself is ok though it’s plastic and how long it lasts is another thing. Heading over to Amazon.com to purchase a Mr Pen one. $9.99 plus 10$ shipping. At least I know these are 5*
