I have had the cheaper blue version of this Conair dryer for years and its cord retractor would slowly get dysfunctional, and I'd buy a new dryer. Last time I turned to the Andis dryer with its foldable handle and cord retractor....initially I liked it more, with its much more powerful cord retractor, but after 6 months, the folding handle broke. Andis said they have stopped making it, so they let me pick another of their products as a warranty replacement....good customer service there. For my next dryer, I went back to Conair and got this ionic dryer with folding handle and cord retractor. It is double the price of their blue one, but so far, it is really impressive...the dryer is excellent, the handle folds easily, and the cord retractor is smooth and adequately powerful. We'll see how long it lasts, but so far, I like it a lot.

This hairdryer is so good that after buying one for myself, I purchased another for the guest bathroom. It's compact, has high and low heat, the retractable cord goes in smoothly, and it folds in half, fitting easily into the drawer. Great product!

After many years, my trusty blow dryer finally died. I wanted one that was powerful, not too large, with a retractable cord. Check, check, and check. This is a very nice blow dryer. I highly recommend.
