This has definitely helped to lower my and my husband's cholesterol levels. It probably wouldn't do much on its own but combined with exercise it helps. The tablet size is not very big so it's easy to swallow.

This absolutely helped lower my cholesterol, which is high on account of heredity despite the fact that I exercise and eat generally well. Red yeast rice supplements that include the active ingredient for cholesterol reduction are hard to find, so this is very helpful. When I couldn't get this for a few months, my cholesterol shot up again.

I don't know the results yet but I like the size of the pill! These are smaller than the others and I can swallow with no difficulty.

A shame we have to go out of the country now for a natural alternative to statins, but I was glad to find a safe product that works.

I have difficulty swallowing pills, and my doctor suggested a red rice yeast supplement. Everything I saw on line and in stores were these ginormous gelatin capsules. There was no way I could swallow those, so I was very thankful I came across this one. Super easy to swallow and the directions say you can chew it, although I have not tried that. I only just started taking this, so will have to wait some time to see if it has the desired effect.

I tried these for 30 days combined with Coenzyme Q10 which it important addition, where red yeast rice will diminish the amounts of CoQ10 in the body. Cardiologists have concluded that red yeast rice with monacolin K at 10 mg has been shown to be safe and effective in improving lipid profiles, and, to some extent in reducing the risk of cardiovascular events. However, after a month using DOCTORSMED, my LDL is actually 5 points higher despite little processed meats or starch and a careful diet. My doctor pointed out that the FDA prohibits more than 1-3% monacolin K in OTC supplements, which renders them mostly ineffective. He also stated that some red yeast rice products contain a contaminant called citrinin, which is toxic and can damage the kidneys. He put me on “citrinin-free” Lovastatin which is structurally identical to taking 10 mg monacolin K. Hopefully, the next Lipid panel will show positive results.

I bought it to show my doctor. She didn't like it for me. Found out it can't be returned. Sucks.
