IMPORTANT INSTALLATION TIP BELOW!!
I liked that these valves are 1/4 turn with metal balls, stems and handles and are very inexpensive. They are 1/2 the price of the brass…… brand at the big box stores which have plastic handles and stems. I have experienced one of the older ones with worn out plastic stems that strip out eventually and causing flooding!! The plastic stems only have 1 1/2 threads which is inadequate. The only complaint on these Ez fluid valves is that there may be a little debris in the ball hole left over from the manufacturing process. The installation tip is that if you remove the handle prior to installation of the valve, put it back on exactly the way it came off. Putting it back on 180 degrees out will all the ball to travel beyond the fully closed position, resulting in water leakage at the closed position.

Work like they should, good value if you are doing a whole house
Each valve arrived in it's own small individual box with all the parts. These have a metal ball valve and only take 1/4 turn to actuate. The ball valve style should last much longer than the old fashion shutoff valves that rely on compressing a washer. I decided to change out the mostly frozen old shutoff valves at all the plumbing fixtures in my house, along with the old supply lines. 20 valves was a few more than I needed for my house, so I'm doing some of the ones at the in-laws house as well. These worked just as well as the ones at the local home center but at less than half the cost per item. I removed the existing compression rings using a superior tool compression ring puller. When installing, I use a little ptfe pipe dope on the bare copper pipe before sliding on the new ring, then put a little over the ring. Although I don't usually have leaks even without the ptfe sealant, I never do when I use it.

Unable to use because of restricted flow
Internal valve opening is too small, restricting flow.

1/4 turn ball stop valves cheaper than the home improvement stores
I own and rent some single family homes. Whenever I do refresh or renovation I make sure to replace the old multi-turn stop valves under the sinks and toilets because they often fail to shut off after being unused for 20 years. I have used these without issue.

Good for a handyman
Most plumbing jobs I run into, require shutting the water off for repairs. Most shut off valves, in older houses, are the screw in type of valve and with time, they all seem to freeze up. Having the new 1/4 turn valves on hand makes replacing old valves a breeze. I replaced two recently and had no issues with leaking. I will definitely buy these again as they cost 1/2 as the ones I pickup at larger hardware stores. Definitely a good purchase!
