EuroGraphics The Accolade by E.B. Leighton 1000 Piece Puzzle

My husband finished, too hard for me though

We did this puzzle and then hung it (cheaper than buying the poster!) and receive compliments on it often. People say they can't tell it's a puzzle until they get up closer. Putting it together was fun and the print is high quality.

Finished it. Varnished it. Gave it to a friend and it now hangs in his studio.

Great puzzle that was very difficult to complete- but fun! Image detail is fantastic, but puzzle is missing 2 pieces- which is absolutely maddening.

On a scale of 1 to 10 this jigsaw puzzle is at least an 8+ for difficulty. I've been putting jigsaw puzzles together for decades, but I found this one so frustrating that it may never get put together. The pieces are very small, but also very weirdly cut and they seem to fit with other pieces very well, so you never know if you found a match or not. Also, for this difficulty level the manufacturers should have included a poster, large enough to guide you if you are going wrong. This is supposed to be a pleasant past time and a challenge, but not so frustrating that you give up on it. The picture and my vanity sold me to find something more challenging than the ones in the past, but I found this to be very annoying, instead.

This was more fun than I thought it would be. Each area is uniquely colored, there is a nice variety of piece shapes and everything is a good quality. I just wish EuroGraphics included a photo of the puzzle so you don’t have to keep holding the box lid for guidance.
