The back mount bracket is rectangular, 30" wide by 9 1/2" tall. Since a 32" TV is measured diagonally, I can't exactly say. However, now you know the bracket dimensions and can figure it out!

no, they are not, its like one foot apart from its shelves

Q: It has to be braced against the wall, right? Does the package come with materials to accomplish this?

The instructions say that you should set the stand against the wall. It does not require anything going into the wall. However if your TV is light enough it seems that bracing the stand against the wall isn't needed because the base of the stand is pretty sturdy.
