Holy Land Market Jerusalem Crushed and Sealed Flower Incense from The Holy Land (Nard, 9 Ounces)

I've just purchased the charcoals needed for this today, but I couldn't wait to burn just a little bit of my amber insence anyway to see how it smells. It is so hard to describe the smell because in the US we barely have this type of insence in store. With the mortar/pestle I just mashed some onto the pestle and lit it with a flame for a little bit and then stopped to blow on it and continued this off and on until I had a fragrance in the room, and even then without doing it traditionally, the aroma was incredible. I have never smelled anything like it, especially not in the average insence. I don't think I could ever go back to the sticks and cones, ever again. The smell is like.. sweet, oaky, vanilla cherry tree sap, maple earth, with hints of tartness, velvety campfire desert notes, like cooking something naturally sweet on a campfire. I'll leave another review when I burn it as intended with the charcoal disc and the brass piece I've ordered from the shop for this purpose. The quality is incredible. The product is beautiful. And when you know to crush it, a little goes a long way. You can feel the effectiveness spiritually, and it's a fair price for the quality you are getting.

Great smell for the house. It's the same smell in Antiochian Orthodox churches, at least the ones I've been to.

NO aroma at all. NOT AS DESCRIBED. Smoke only. Don't waste your money. arrived in envelope, inner "sealed" bag was open and product was >50% lost to the floor when outer bag was opened. 30.00$ lost . unacceptable. tried to contact seller, no luck will try ONE MORE time 12/27/25 still no contact. consider money lost. I keep trying to submit my review but it will not take. Review STILL NOT TAKING. 12/30/25 finally got email from vendor, blames Amazon for issue... NO MORE for this seller FINALLY got reply: "request replacement from anazon, they shipped it." NO MORE, NEVER AGAIN

Great price for a the amount received by seller. Smell wonderful and recommend this seller! Burns well, smells as expected and does have a calming affect as used in Christian setting. Great quality!

We had run out of incense at my church, I told the pastor, but still no incense for our Tuesday adoration so I bought some out of my own pocket. Nice small beads that begin to smoke quickly. My sense of smell isn’t great nowadays but I could smell a flowery aroma in the smoke. A little goes a long way so it should last us a while. Update 9-11-25. We went through most of the original 9 oz package of this so I decided to order more and the 1lb bag is cheaper per oz so I went with that. This time the incense was clumped together and the original bag had a cut in it so it was in a larger zip loc bag. I was able to break up the clumps so no harm no foul but I wonder how old this stuff is? My sense of smell is poor but on opening the bag and pouring it into the can we keep it in, the other deacon and his wife commented on how pretty it smells.

This has a beautiful light frankincense scent. I like it!

This is the real deal, it’s what’s used for divine liturgy, especially in orthodox tradition. You need smokeless coal, it will not work with a candle. I’ve bought many frankincense resins before, this one is the only one I can’t complain about. It’s real tree sap so if you let it burn up it will get charred smell. Use the correct ratio of coal and resin.

Use lots of incense and this is very low grade in my opinion. Wouldn't buy again and have not used it more than the once. Nasty.
