Armen Living Summer Modern Chair In Charcoal Fabric and Walnut Wood

I'll echo the other very positive comments about this eye-catching chair. First, it has Nordic-style good looks. The beautifully curved seat and legs and floating, hemispherical back are just about as perfect as it gets aesthetically. (The style is evocative of an Eames chair.) Second, this chair is made entirely of natural wood and the finishing is remarkably refined for this price point. The walnut stain is just about perfect (both color-wise and in its uniformity). The charcoal fabric is simple and understated. The feet have silicon sliders that will not scratch wood floors. Third, this is an exceptionally easy chair to put together. Just one bolt to join the x-shaped legs together and four more to attach them to the seat. We had both of our chairs assembled in 12 minutes. The chairs are very efficiently packed in easy-to-carry boxes (and are surprisingly light). There was absolutely no transit damage at all - not even a minor scratch. Finally, and most importantly, the chairs are strong and rigid and very comfortable to sit in. I'm actually astonished that such good quality, beautifully-designed chairs are available at this price point. If you're considering this chair, go ahead and purchase with confidence. I can certainly attest to the high rating here on Amazon.

I'm so glad I made this purchase. I absolutely LOVE this chair! To be clear, my home's from the 1930s and my tastes run from bohemian and mid-Century modern to vintage. Still, I think it'd suit various tastes in decor. The upper part/arms cradle the body, so it may not be ideal for all body types. However, I'm 5'3" and my (former) bf is 6'2". We each felt comfortable in it. The seat sits a tad high for someone my size, which is why it's in the computer nook of my guest room vs my home office. Still, it's comfy. The styling and fabric are fantastic. It leans mustard with a gorgeous wood finish. Great quality! Better than it appears online. Assembly was a snap. I carried it in myself, got it upstairs all by my lonesome and put it together quickly. Best purchase I've made in a long time!

This chair is great for the price. My guess is that it will wear out fairly quickly, but it is sturdy and comfortable out of the box. The fabric was a bit wrinkled along the back of the chair (I saw this noted in other reviews). But assembly was easy, and it looks great. Of note: this should have been obvious, but I didn’t realize until I finished assembling…if you are using it with a desk, the chair is too tall to push under a standard-height desk. My desk has a drawer, so it’s even lower than a slab desk. The chair sticks out 18 inches from the desk, so if you want something that tucks under a desk, this may not be for you. If your desk is a slab at 30-inches high without drawers, the chair will tuck in better, but you’ll still have a good 10 inches sticking out.

Have been looking for a desk chair that doesn't kill my back for years. Also am kinda short. . . so my feet never touch the floor. No matter how "ergonomic" (expensive) they all tend to be crap. Thought I'd try this one . . . and wow! It's excellent. I work at a desk for 8-10 hours a day. This is super comfortable. Great lower back support. My feet touch the floor. And, it looks great in my home office. Nice enough to use as an extra chair at the dinner table if need be. It's just a simple, well designed, reasonably priced chair with no BS. Love it!

We are very pleased with the four chairs we purchased from this seller. They were purchased to go around a 4’ round game table that I custom painted with acrylic artwork and resin. These gorgeous chairs also accentuate our contemporary living room furnishings beautifully! The chairs seem to be very sturdy, comfortable and well constructed. Just an FYI rather than a complaint; I purchased the additional hardware to make the chairs swivel from a third party seller. My husband had to purchase additional hardware at the lumber yard because the nuts and bolts didn’t fit properly (as another reviewer also mentioned). Just to be clear, we LOVE these chairs and would definitely buy again from this seller! Thank you for offering furniture that is both stylish and very well made. I also believe that they are well worth the price!

One leg is out of square and appears to be on the verge of breaking. It’s a great looking chair that’s hobbled by cheap build quality.

Needed a small chair for my computer desk and this one fit the style and price. The chair was super easy to put together, only have to attach the legs so it was a five minute task. It’s comfortable for me. I could see how it wouldn’t be a comfortable chair for some. It’s small and not overly padded. It’s perfectly mid century modern style and color is perfect. My cat loves this chair too, it’s really her chair that she allows me to use once and a while. I will buy again if I need another.

If you're buying this chair without a swivel, you're good. It's a great chair. 5-stars. If you're buying this chair with plans of putting the swivel plate on it, know this: 1. It doesn't come with the extra bolts you'll need to pull this off. 2. It doesn't come with the nuts and washers you'll need to pull this off 3. The plate can be made to fit, but it doesn't really fit (to the base). You'll have to hover the swivel plate over the four bolt holes and start the bolts that way. Then, with a lot of force, I mean a lot of force, as you tight the bolts, the plate will be forced to fit. Then you can attach the legs. To be fair to the manufacturer, in the FAQs for this product it says that the swivel is provided by a third part and that the chair doesn't support it - don't know why Amazon decides to link it as a "produce is often purchased with" upsell. That's dumb. Aside from this very frustrating issue, it's a great chair. Comfortable and good looking.

This chair was way better than I ever could’ve expected. It was very easy to put together, and it is a solid chair. Very modern, it looks great and like a quality piece of furniture. The comfort level is fantastic. I’ve never had a chair so comfortably hug me, its awesome

Friends comment about the chairs looks. It is solidly built and simple to put together and even includes the hex key. I thought that with the ascetics the chair would not be that comfortable. I was wrong very comfortable. I would not hesitate to purchase a product from this company again.

Great quality and easy build! All screw holes lined up nicely, I didn’t find myself fighting to get pieces to fit. The fabric is thick and feels nice to sit on, anticipate it will hold up well compared to others I have bought before and found the fabric to be cheap and thin quality. Recommend!!
