This water-cooled mattress pad is a MUST for anyone who runs hot like me and tosses and turns over their hot spots all night. At the coldest setting it is TOO COLD. I recommend the 2nd lowest setting. I also kinda love the fact that the water evaporates over time, requiring a refill after a few days. I hate the thought of nasty stagnant water circulating permanently in a device.I would highly recommend the water-cooled mattress pad to anyone who struggles with hot flashes, night sweats, or simply wants a more comfortable sleeping surface. So this thing is not pretty. It’s a bit loud if you need a silent room this is not for you. We recently got a memory foam mattress and it got so warm that I decided to try this. It is amazing and keeps me cool all night. I have the most sound sleep that I have had in years. Pro level sleep with this. The cons are that the silicone tubes they provide to connect to the unit are so short - longer tubes to the mattress pad would be nice. Also, the mattress pad has a rather hard plastic piece where the tubing enters the pad. That piece of the design is very annoying. I can feel the tubes in the pad as this is placed under the fitted sheet. I got use to it because I have been sleeping so soundly with this. The unit is an additional expense for outfitting a higher quality mattress. Had I realized how terribly warm memory foam mattresses are, I would have purchased one with cooling technology built in. I do use this unit on the coolest setting and have to add water daily because of the setting. I have drained the unit once prior to a vacation. I wouldn’t let this sit with the water in it. Get this if you need to cool down while sleeping. It seriously has had a positive impact on my sleep.

This was initially a life saver! I’m a peri-menopausal woman who is a hot sleeper who resides in the north east where air conditioning is limited. Talk about a hot and miserable nights sleep!I purchased this unit in April and it was immediately a game changer. So much so I even recommended this unit to a few people.Two weeks ago it stopped working. Mind you, I follow the recommended maintenance and cleaning schedule. I think this unit is clogged. I contacted the customer service email in the brochure and got a quick reply from Kevin. He recommended some trouble shooting steps and said if those didn’t work he would send a new unit.You’ll see in the pictures I posted, after following Kevin’s troubleshooting steps, I let the unit run from 9:40 am until 8:40 pm and the water level never changed. That’s for sure a malfunction in the unit.I have sent Kevin 4 emails and he will not respond. So now I’m stuck with a $250 broken unit. There’s no customer service number. I’ve asked Amazon for assistance trying to contact their Anni Star’s customer support and they don’t have a good contact either.Please be ware. Apparently I’m not the only person who has experienced unit issues with no response from customer service.

I tend to sleep on one side for most of the night, and this results in a bit of sweating, which over the course of a few days can start to smell like a locker room.AC, fans, ice can't touch this because it's underneath.This solution has completely solved it for me.It uses evaporitive cooling that chills the water in tubing that runs back and forth in the pad. It's very noticeable. I measured both sides of the bed when I got it, and this pad was 5 degrees cooler than the other. It may not sound like a lot, but it's enough to stop the sweat.The unit is clearly not super high quality, and it shouldn't be for the price. But there are really no flaws in the design.There are really only two downsides:1) It does make a small amount of fan noise. It doesn't bother me, and I'm sure anyone would get used to it. But it is about whisper level white noise.2) It will go through water. I live in a humid area, and it goes through about 3/4 tank a night. It seems to hold about 1/2 gallon. But it's totally worth it for the increased comfort and no more night sweats.
