I have completely changed my mind about this after using it for awhile
Update: Yes, these are small cubes because the blue tabs get in the way, and you have to be careful to cover the tab completely with water, but after using it for awhile I am changing my rating from a 1 to a 4! It is by far the EASIEST tray to get cubes to pop out without fighting with the tray. The cover stays on well which keeps the ice cubes CLEAN. I don't want contaminated ice cubes that have been in touch with other items! :-) Original review: I should have bought the one with the cover from the 99cent store. I like covers on my ice cube trays because I don't like the ice to get dirty or contaminated if someone puts other things on top of it. But this one was not helpful otherwise - I don't see how it's any easier than a regular ice cube tray, and the little blue release tabs take up space so you get small cubes. Small cubes are fine for some purposes but for this size tray you don't get much ice - a waste of space in my freezer.

You Want Be sorry You bought this Ice Cube Tray
This is the second time I purchased this ice cube tray with cover lid. the ice cubes are a breeze to get out and if you use a cube you can easily just put water into the cube tray spot. I purchased this one on amazon, however the first one I purchase 4 or 5 years ago in a department store is still in use.

Prevents evaporation of ice
I use several of these trays at my cabin. I like them because they are easy to stack and I don’t get ice evaporation from the freezer cycles when I am gone a long time. Ice releases easily and Is always ready when I need it. Great product!

Works great
I love this product. I don't have to worry about the water spilling out before they are frozen and they are so easy to release the cubes. I bought several because they work so great.

Clever design, but absolutely overpriced
The design is really smart and convenient, however the downside is that you really do need to read the manual before writing a negative review claiming the cubes are hard to get out. Here is a quick summary: the shape of the cubes gives them “tails” and those tails keep them in the tray; by tilting the silicone levers you break the tails and the cubes fall out. In order for this to work, you need to twist the tray (just as with a regular one) and you need to make sure that there is nothing else holding the cubes. This latter part is a little tricky – it is very important: you need to learn what amount of water to pour, taking into account the fact that it will expand; you goal is to make sure the cubes won’t be too large and stick to each other or the surface between them. After 3–4 practice runs you’ll master it and be able to easily get each cube out almost every single time (very rarely one might stick to the sides too much). Another thing to watch for is water on the lid—make sure the lid is reasonably dry on the inside before placing it into the freezer, otherwise a layer of ice will form, stiffen in, and if will crack the next time you try to open the tray. That’s a lesson I learned the hard way with one of the two trays that I have.

Great ice tray for space saving
I love the fact that it had a lid, so I can put other things on top of it in the freezer.

This ice tray is expensive but it works just as advertised. You can snap out each cube individually from the tray. I'm very happy with the purchase.
