Overall, this is a welcome replacement for a worn-out set of soft jaws that I have had for years. The shortcoming is the gripping surface should be wider to cover the entire width and depth of the vise jaws. I do like the feature of having accommodation of round stock. I also like the magnets to keep them on the vise. The magnets are strong enough to keep the soft jaws in place.

I'm a certified gunsmith and these are a must for my work. Very strong magnets hold the jaw protectors in place. Im very happy with this product highly recommended. Not only for a gunsmith but anyone using a vice with delicate pieces they need to clamp down on. Soft but sturdy enough to hold

Great functionality! Use these every day at home garage. One magnet came loose, glued it back into the recess.

The slotted faces are useful and the main reason I decided to buy, but I have several gripes. After only a week or two of light use, the magnets are falling out and have to be re-glued into place. The magnets are only on one face of the jaws, therefore making it less useful than other jaws that can go flat side/patterned side. The material is quite soft and deforms easily, so if you are using for very soft material, good; as it won't damage it, bad, for anything much tougher, like bending a pegboard hook, for example. If you try to hold something small, like a screw or bolt head, the jaws deform enough to pull the pads, completely away from the vise under modest pressure. So, these are relegated now to mainly secondary use, softer materials, plastics, etc and instances where holding power is not very important.

I keep these in my vice all the time as it seems I am squeezing softer materials for DIY fixes more often than not. They are holding up well.

These vice clamps are great if you are clamping something you do not want marked. Whether it’s flat or tubular.
