From all those experience, I learned my impression on this type of tiny lithium-ion battery based jump starter might be incorrect and my negative experience might not be the issue of the jump starter, but it's the limitation of the jump starting method.Now my current big battery jump starter finally reaches to the end of its life, and I decide to give the small lithium-ion battery based jump starter one more try. After the research, I ordered this AVAPOW Jump Starter Car Battery 2500A Peak for its good price, big 22.8AH battery, led light and wireless cellphone charger. It arrived fast on the next day and I immediately charged it to full capacity.Now it's the time to examine my theory on jump-starting. I disconnected the car battery, and connect this jump starter. Boom! It INSTANTLY STARTED THE 4.7L V8 of 2004 LX470 in JUST ONE CRANK! As a comparison, it generally took 2~3 cranks with the fresh car battery to start. And the battery shows 98% after starting.Why it may fail as other reviewer experienced?====================================When the battery in the car is dead and/or bad, it's very hard to jump start the engine regardless of the method or the tools. I tried big battery jump-starter, big jump cable to a fresh car battery, big jump cable to a fresh car battery with engine running, charging the dead battery for 15 minutes and then with the engine running and all the other ways you could thought.None of those methods/tools could always jump-start the engine once THE BATTERY WAS DEAD/BAD!Why? It's because a big portion of jumping current (amperage) was "eaten" by the bad/dead battery. Therefore the actual jumping capacity delivered to the car starter might be below the threshold for the car starter to do the job. The fix is very simple although. Just disconnect the negative pole of the bad/dead battery before jump-starting. You could connect it back once the engine is running. This way will pretty much guarantee a success jump-starting.I researched the negative reviews before the purchase, and concluded it's the issue for all those complaining this jump starter could not even start a small 4 cylinders engine. People are just too lazy to figure out the cause, and I hope my research could help you understand how and not to pass such a high quality/function product at a very reasonable price.Other thought:============The jump starter comes with a sturdy case to keep everything you need in a safe place. And everything seems well manufactured and high qualify. One thing I wish it should include is a high qualify high capacity charger. It can be charged by any standard USB charger which most people should have had couple of. However, it will be more convenient to include one in the package.Highly recommended.

It's March 25,2025 I ordered this in August 24. So roughly 6-7 months after purchase, The AVAPOW A27 12V 2500A Jump Starter stopped working, just a continuous buzzing. I emailed Avapow Customer Service about the problem I was having with the starter. They replied within 45 min (Great). They asked for some information on the purchase, and a short video of what it was doing. (Sent.) Customer Service sent it to the Technician, I was asked to have a little patience with the process. Which was easily done. I was NOT Looking for a quick response, at least for a few days or week, you know ""Customer Service"", BUT I checked my email this morning that was sent yesterday evening. They're sending me a new Jump starter. NOW If that ain't True customer service I don't know what is. The ONLY reason I gave a 4 star is because the jump starter stopped working. Other than that I love this little unit. I can also charge other things like my phone, wired or wireless. I'd definitely recommend. Thank You Gian in Customer Service.

Just got the Avapow A27 today, overall pleased with this well made product. It is almost perfection, which I'll get to in a minute. Haven't had a chance to jump start a car with it yet, but based on other reviews, and a top ten rating in an online article (Avapow was number 1) I don't doubt its capabilities. Had no problem fast charging my phone, putting it in turbo charge mode. Overall fit and finish is premium, with only a few flaws. Case is rugged and rubberized, but, like the Hulkman, the top is an acrylic plate which I think would be vulnerable. So don't drop it on its face. Possibly the only jump starter available with a digital readout on the cables to tell you the level of your car battery. That was the main selling point for me. Comes with a sturdy case which is well made (some others have either a bag, or you have to buy the case separately). Especially for the price, it's excellent. The only negatives are not a big deal, and don't affect its intended purpose. Comes with a USB C cable for charging, but no wall charger. You have to buy one, or just use your phone charger which most people have now. The rubber covers for the ports don't fit well, the USB port cover especially likes to fall open. Not critical considering it will be in the case most of the time. My main concern would be the jumper clamps. Though I don't think they would break under normal use, the plastic is very thin and there is only metal in the jaws, not the handle. They feel a bit flimsy compared to the rock solid clamps of the Hulkman, which I've also bought. There is no 12V DC out plug for a cigarette lighter socket adapter as with the Hulkman. Not something people use a lot, and most cars have the socket anyway. The LED light is very bright with several functions, works well. And you have two options to charge the unit, USB-C and Micro USB sockets. The plug for the jumper cables fits very tightly, which is better than being too loose. And it is brand new so to be expected. Other than the minor gripes of floppy charging port covers, lack of wall charger, and the use of lightweight plastic in the clamps, seems like a good buy. I will update when I actually jumpstart a car. Plenty of reviews say it will, so I'm not worried. One of the best features is the case, lined with foam rubber, hard shell, well made and much appreciated. Includes a 24 month warranty when you register your Avapow. I would recommend buying this. Despite the minor drawbacks, I still gave it five stars. Those nitpicks aren't worth taking off a star. Another nice feature is you don't have to push a button, then run to start your car. There is another highly rated brand where you only have 30 seconds to start your car. Not with this one, just hook it up and turn the key. Is there an override mode for completely dead batteries as with some others? I don't know, haven't gotten that far yet. But I'm confident whatever the problem is, this jumpstarter will handle it. It may not stop your dog from eating your shoes, or bring world peace, but it will charge your devices and most likely start your car. Be safe out there, wishing you all the best.
