Why does the 1/2" have same torqe as 3/8?

Yes - but seeing how the 1/2 inch uses heavier sockets, it can usually break lose anything that the 3/8s can’t. Rarely do I have to use my half inch air impact. But when I do it was definitely necessary

Can this remove a crankshaft pulley bolt ? or do i need a larger impact tool? (bolt is torqued to 120 ft lbs.) thank you

If you’re using the half inch with a torque multiplier socket maybe. But I wouldn’t count on it
