If something in my home needs doing, I want to do it myself if I can, especially when it comes to furniture and home goods that require patience, decent instructions, and a set of reliable tools.Sadly most of the tools out there are designed for men playing with electricals -- not women putting together a shopping cart or bookcase or new computer desk. The tools I've used before and own all fit men's hands well -- but not mine.That's why I LOVE this set. Though my thinking as I was buying it was my forthcoming transatlantic move for work, this set is one of the best decisions my little independent, DYI brain ever made. The weight, the balance, and the handles are absolutely perfect for my 5' 2" frame. The stubby screwdriver by Klein tools that I used just a week ago to assemble a new step stool was so poorly fitting to my hands that I wasn't able to sufficiently tighten the screws on it.Then I tried the Phillips #2 from this set on the same screws. Oh what a difference! What was hard with my other screwdrivers, including my Craftsmen tools, is a piece of cake with this one.The hammer is shorter than most, but also heavier and it balances to give you more power and more precise control than the competition.In other words, this is the basic set I've waited 20 years for. It's the first set actually designed around my needs as a woman to get things DONE at home.Independence is PINK! Go buy this set! And if you are sending a daughter or niece off to university BUY HER THIS SET to get her started. It's perfect for setting up a new dorm room or apartment.One criticism: the packaging it comes in. We've all encountered packaging that is so difficult to extra your items from you feel like you are risking an ER visit by the time you are done. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE PACKAGES. The seller needs a serious REDESIGN to make it easier to get out of the package and into your tool box. I couldn't believe how hard it was to get out of the plastic.

What an excellent set. Sturdy tools that are sure to last! Description is as stated, and the shade of pink is great. There were so many reviews from parents buying it for their children that I was reluctant to buy it for myself since I didn't want 'toy like' tools. But these aren't toy like at all and will serve their intended purposes. Glad I purchased them.
