Love this cooler! Filled with ice and soft drinks on a Friday afternoon and ice was still good next afternoon. Holds quite a bit and the look is so cute and vintage.

This item was priced reasonably, and I'd say I got what I paid for. I like the color! The package arrived missing several of the bolts required for assembly, and the body of the cooler has a very small dent on one corner; but not significant enough to deal with the hassle of a return. I called the Permasteel customer service hotline to request the missing bolts, and I could not be happier with the experience! An actual human answered the phone right away, and she was able to order a set of replacement bolts that will be sent to my home - the call took less than 5 minutes of my time & the customer service rep was excellent. I've noticed other reviewers commenting that the legs are not very sturdy, and after assembling the item I understand their concern - there are more expensive and sturdier choices available. I'll just be super careful when I move this when it's loaded up with ice and bevies! I might replace the casters (only because this will be placed on a deck and these casters might get stuck in the gaps), but I'll wait to see how they function first. I really like the design of the lid; it has a knob on each side and it's hinged in the middle. The whole thing comes off, which will make loading it up and cleaning it easy. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, and I can't wait for an opportunity to use it!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Not good. Bought this as a gift 2 years ago. It is rusted. The person said they do not keep it in open air. It's kept under an overhang. Quite embarrassing.

It keeps beverages cold, works really well. Ours is now 2 years old and is rusting badly. The lid leaks when it rains, so if you plan on leaving it out on the patio for the season you'll need to drain it after a rain storm. Due to the rust and how badly the lid lets rain water in, we now have to get rid of it. I'm sure if you have garage space or shed space and put it away after every use that it would last a long, long time. However, if you plan to set it up for the season and leave it out on your patio or deck, it will only last a couple of years.

We have ordered a bunch of these over the past year for a project we’re working on. Some of the coolers arrive in near perfect condition and some arrive in pretty bad shape. We have had to return about 1 in 3 coolers. Common issues we’ve experienced: missing pieces, scratches on the cooler, dented coolers, and screws that won’t screw in. For the price, they are very nice coolers when they are in good shape, but quality control is DEFINITELY an ongoing issue. Don’t wait to inspect yours. Inspect your cooler immediately when you receive it and if it’s not in perfect shape, return it for another one.
