EDGE High Mileage 10W-40 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 1 Quart

Good oil

I have a very old high mileage car, the oil pump is worn out & needs replacement & my friendly local Toyota dealer says that's a $2,000 job & I believe him. I was using Castrol EDGE High Mileage 10W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, but the oil light came on & when I put a real pressure gauge on, it was less than 5psi, the pressure that the oil pressure switch switches on/off at. Not wanting to spend more money than the car is worth to replace the oil pump, I tried this slightly thicker 10W-40 oil. Haven't seen the check oil light since! I don't know how long this will solve my problem, but Castrol makes Castrol GTX High Mileage 20W-50 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil & Castrol Edge 10W-60 Full Synthetic Motor Oil when that happens. Highly Recommended!

All I use is Castrol!

I was a Mobil1 guy for decades and was quite happy. I started reading reviews of Castrol, like you may be doing right now, and I thought what the heck, I will try some. I could not believe how much quieter EVERY engine is with this product in it. Car, truck, mowers....they are all markedly quieter. Now I am not a scientist or anything, but in my world quieter equals better on moving parts. I now have Castrol in everything I own. The 10w40 is in my mowers. Try it

I realized late in the evening that I forgot to purchase motor oil, so I ordered it here and had it the next morning. Very convenient, and only a little bit more expensive than what I would have paid for in the store.

Oil works great in my BMWs.
