ELITEWILL 4PCS Front and Rear Fuel Tank Support Crossmember, Rear Upper Shock Mount Crossmember, Rear Spare Tire Support Crossmember Kit Fit For 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado GMC Sierra 1500 2500

My mechanic showed me what to order so he could pull the 8-foot bed off of my Silverado and replace the 4 cross member supports that had rusted so badly they were collapsing.

Used on 2003 Sierra 4wd Ext cab. The quality of the parts are decent. Approximately the same gauge as factory. The rear most original crossmember on my truck was rectangular and had the spare tire bracket and rear lighting junction box attached to it. The one in this kit is round (pictured). Will have to fabricate mount for junction, and spare tire mount if you want it back on. THE FRONT MOST CROSSMEMBER DID NOT FIT. The factory (front fuel tank support) was tubular with the ends presses flat. The one on this kit has a piece of tube and flat plates on the end. When installed, there is interference with the cab, and the mounting point for the fuel tank strap was in the incorrect position( towards rear of truck, not straight down). I had to purchase that one separately from Dorman, and scrap the one from this kit. The middle two, with the shock mounts, worked perfectly.

Works good

The front fuel tank support crossmember and the rear spare tire support crossmember do not fit a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab. The rear fuel tank support crossmember and the upper shock mount crossmember however, fit perfectly.

I used this kit on a 2001 Silverado 1500 4 wheel drive. All rails fit as original except the one directly behind the cab. It did not follow the contour of my frame and I had to modify it to fit. Overall it is a good kit.

The product looks like it’s good quality I haven’t installed the cross members yet but I will follow up after I weld them in.
