K&F Concept 82mm Variable ND Filter ND2- ND400 High Definition Nano X Adjustable Fader Neutral Density Lens Filters(HD Nano-X version)

The K&F Concept 86mm Variable ND Filter (Nano-X Series) is an excellent addition to my gear. The build quality is solid, with a smooth adjustment ring that allows for precise control over light reduction without any noticeable color shift or vignetting.I’ve used it for both photography and video, and it performs beautifully in different lighting conditions. The nano-coating does a great job at reducing reflections and repelling dust and water, making it ideal for outdoor shoots. The markings on the filter are clear, and I appreciate that it doesn’t introduce the dreaded "X" pattern that some variable ND filters suffer from.Overall, this is a high-quality, reliable filter that delivers exactly as promised. If you're looking for a well-made, versatile ND filter, this is definitely one to consider!

a great kit for the price. You may find the grey ND grad puts a slight colour cast on your photo but considering the price this is to be expected. Good quality ND grads cost hundreds of pounds! All of the filters are supplied in little plastic wallets with sealable flaps and the two carry cases supplied gives you the choice of taking just a small selection with you on shoots. The carry cases are nicely padded and made of tough material with mesh pockets on the inside to hold the filters. I doubt if I will use the other accessories that came with the kit but it is always nice to have spares for emergencies.

When used at a lower setting this produced a usable result. However, if you are presented with a situation where you had to use the filter at or near the maximum setting, the filter made the top right and bottom left of the image darker than the rest of the image, possibly fixable (Though difficult) on a still image, not really fixable on a film/video camera, where the light potentially changes second by second.

I bought the 49mm, sadly and maybe my cameras fault ! but when on my lens the min and max are at the bottom, so hard to read, and as no hard stops its easy to go into the dreaded X. If I threaded it on top of my uv then the min max showed up on top, not a deal breaker. I also bought the 49mm to keep in my small camera bag or in my pocket while out. The supplied case is huge and obviously its a one size fits all for 82mm and down so bear that in mind if the case size is important to you as you will need a smaller case if you have a small bag etc. I have stackable filters also I planned to replicate that by buying front and back 49mm covers, Sadly there is no front thread so the only way to keep it safe is in the huge 82mm case. Also not a problem for me, but as other people have said, obviously you cannot add a lens hood due to the lever. However I kept getting the X when passing ND400 mark ( that I cannot see, or feel) It also jammed on me twice so I couldn't move it. Returned for a refund. But despite its shortcomings for my use case, the glass itself was good quality and colour was good and images clean and crisp, Glass 10/10, usability 4/10

There is no front filter thread but I can live without that. The X pattern that appears slightly can be bothersome however, I realized this before I bought it and have managed to work around it so it doesn’t effect the footage. The benefits out this item out way these issues.Edit: the seller reached out to me and offered a full refund despite the fact I purchased the item 10 months ago. Also offered suggestions to minimize the X effect. This is possibly the best customer service you will get.

Build quality of this ND filter is fantastic.. I managed to drip the camera which landed on the corner of the filter and it managed to take the fall perfectly fine with only minor cosmetic damage - still adjusts smoothly etc! Highly recommend.

Our first venture with filters so these served us very well. Case is easy to use and very happy with the extras that came with the package. Great value for money.b
