Stride Rite Baby and Toddler Girls Petra Water Shoe

Love these shoes; we have bought them two summers in a row and they would last through at least another kid. My LO has wide feet so she doesn't get too many pairs. She wears them almost every day. My only complaint is that they are not designed to be wet, dispite being labeled a water shoe. The shoes and my kid's feet stink like a high school locker room when they get wet. I have to dribble white vinegar into them until the sole soaks it up and let them dry out for the terrible smell to go away. We Are not excessively hard on these shoes; she doesn't wear them in standing water but she has ran through a puddle, got splashed osoulled from a cup of water onto her feet.

Love my previous Stride Rite leather shoes but these water shoes with quick drying material really stink when I smell them. Smells like chemicals to me. (It might not bother regular people but we are really into natural stuff). Not sure if it's the material used or how/if it was treated. I washed them gently in the washing machine by themselves and they still stunk. I left them in the sun on my deck for a week or so then found I had to use them because my daughter's normal ones were dirty and I noticed a small part of the edging was starting to fade already. I know the sun is powerful but if these are supposed to be tough, outdoor shoes I would think they would last better than that. I would buy Stride Rite shoes again but I would either not buy their water sandals or buy some with free return and return them if they had a chemical scent.

These are the perfect summer shoe. My daughter wore them all summer last year and they were great, so we just got a new pair for this summer. Right now it's still a bit chilly so she's wearing them with socks, but as soon as it gets warmer, she'll wear them barefoot. My daughter has some seriously stinky feet too, if left in closed up shoes after playing outside all day. These shoes breath and have helped curb some of the stink but are not so open that she ends up with dirt and pine needles and junk stuffed in her shoes.

I've had really good luck with this brand of toddler shoes. I find it's worth the price as my toddler has sensitive feet. These fit great and they don't hurt my child's feet when worn without socks. She has a tendency to get shoes really dirty and these rinse off great and dry well. They also work for the splash pad near our home. I like shoes that can get pretty wet in the summer and dry out without ruining the shoe. I wouldn't have her swim in them but they do stand up to water! Cute and seem sturdy, would recommend these and stride rites in general!!

Great shoes for my 3.5 year old. Usually she is very picky about her shoes and only wears tennis shoes so she can run & climb. I asked her to put these shoes on and wear them around the house for an hour. She wanted to keep wearing them and didn’t take them off all day. She said they were comfortable and the grippy bottoms made it easy to run and climb. I will definitely purchase more in larger sizes.

I really like these shoes, and my daughter seems to love them. They seem to be very comfortable. My daughter has chubby feet, and these fit perfectly in wide. The reason why I give it 4 stars is because they get very smelly when my daughter's feet sweat. The material doesn't seem to be very breathable, even though they are sandals. Overall, though, they are extremely comfortable and a great fit.

Cute stride rite shoes! But a problem with this shoe is that the back heel of the shoe is only soft material, it makes putting the shoe on a little difficult from other more structured stride right shoes. You must put a finger behind the heel to fit shoe on without material in back scrunching into shoe. Child can usually put shoes on by herself, with this one she needs help with the back of shoe, frustrating for her.

If you are accustomed to sizing up for stride rite shoes then you probably assume the same for these.Stride rite shoes in my experience run half a size smaller than other brands. These run large, I might say maybe even larger the other brands. Order your child regular size or maybe even size down.

This is my second pair for my daughter. I wasn't a fan of the look when I received the first pair as a gift. But my then 1.5 yr old loved it. Easy to put on by herself and comfortable. Wore it as her prime summer shoes. They are great. Almost indestructible. Hence I'm bought a second pair for next summer.

I'm sure these would be great sandals for most kids but my daughter has really narrow feet and these fit rather wide. We have this problem with most shoes so not critical of the quality at all. But we had to return them.

Wonderful summer everyday shoe. Comfortable, durable. My daughter had these last year, wore them daily to daycare and on weekends to the park/to play outside. They can take a beating beautifully.
