Incredible method of upholstery repair, two thumbs up
I'd been looking at a tear in the seat of my truck for about four years until I finally came upon this solution. The tear is in the highest wear section of the seat, right by the door where you slide in and out of the cab. Due to the high amount of friction in this spot on the upholstery, I figured any repair would peel off quickly. Not the case with MastaPlasta. It's held on perfectly so far, matches my seat, and was cost effective. Soon after I bought the product, my black lab then tore two more holes in the back seat with her claws while going berzerk barking at another dog on the sidewalk. Slapped on another MastaPlasta patch left over from the first sheet I ordered, and it was almost like new. I never run out of gratitude for useful, original, well designed, easy to use and affordable products like this one.

Durable, easy & blends well!
AMAZING & affordable!Note to Manufacturer: I would have liked an option where the leather was "perforated" to match exactly.BUT, this was right on! The pics show the color kind of off but it really is a perfect match to the naked eye.Stuck very well,i used a ruler for a straight edge so it wasn't all ghetto looking.I repaired a HUGE tear on a main seat that's used frequently (shows little wear considering its used daily).I also repaired cracks & rip on the side of a seat. Just looks like a seam, it blends well & is very durable.

I'd recommend but be sure how you're going to use it.
I bought the 8 x 11 patch a couple months ago to use on a problem spot on my couch (it's sort of a "spare") until I replace my furniture later this year. Its holding power is great. I wish the quality of the couch was as good, because this patch is pulling the surface of the "bonded leather" off of the couch entirely. So I'll probably get a bigger patch if available. It's not their fault; it's Ashley Furniture's.Anyway, these do a pretty good job but consider your application and the substrate onto which you'll be applying this.

Great product worked as advertised.
I had about a 10" tear in my vinyl work truck seat where I sit and had ignored it until it was pretty severe and the foam had worn away. I bought a large patch and installed it over the rip about 4 months ago, and its holding up very well. I filled in the worn away foam by folding up a couple paper towels and stuffing them in for backing. I was concerned that the patch would pull away where, but its holding up well. I've had many ripped vinyl seats and wish I'd known about this product before. Its flexible so stretches with the seat movement. My seat was not smooth vinyl, but has a bit of roughness and the patch stuck fine. Nice to get a product that works as advertised.

Worked well for wheelchair upholstery repair
Great stuff for repairing the headrest of my wheelchair, decent match for the material. Looks and feels much better than the black gorilla tape I used before. It's raised off the headrest more than I'd like, and it was tricky to cut and place due to the curves of the part, but I'm satisfied with how it went (if I get tired of it, I can always replace the headrest itself). I suggest measuring/drawing a pattern for what you want to cut out, it can be tough to trim with scissors (an x-acto knife might be a better idea). Definitely remember to prep the surface you're patching, that's crucial for any adhesive. If you hate waiting to get pads, etc, with unsightly tears replaced via insurance and official channels, this is a good short-to-mid-term solution. I'll update if the patch ever fails to adhere. For armrests, this stuff is also decent (so far), although it's relatively much thinner: Gear Aid Tenacious Tape for Fabric Repair, Black

Legit Product. Very Happy at the simplicity
The patch has a thick, but not too thick layer of leather. When you peel the backing off, you can see it is reinforced with a woven fabric making this extra durable.Easy to apply and immediately fixed the problem. Very happy. The adhesion is also very strong, this isn't coming off.

8 Months Later
I'm ordering another one, not necessarily because I like it, but because it's cheap enough and works well enough. After 8 months about a quarter of the panel has peeled off and the adhesive has started coming off the pad and leaving black gummy dots on the floor. If I'm not paying attention to where I walk they get mashed into the carpet and I have to scrape them out. At least the remainder of the pad is staying on and it feels close enough to the original material I can't notice a difference just sitting on it.In summary, this is definitely not long-term repair material, but it'll at least fill in a worn spot or prevent two panels from ripping any more than they already have.

Works great
This worked great to cover the tears in my arm rest in my car. I cut the patch to fit the whole armrest top and it looks good and works nicely. It been a couple of months now and it seems to be staying put well too.
