Sometimes you get more than you pay for!
FINAL UPDATE: I found the exact same glasses on Wish for less with longer shipping & cheaper case. As soon as I opened the eyeglasses, I put a drop of superglue on the outside lens screws. 3 days and no cracks or loose screws. I love these eyeglasses again.UPDATE 2: After getting suggestions and using a thread lock on the screws, I thought I was all set. I was wrong. While I was wearing the glasses, the other side loosened. I thought it was the screw until I took them off. The left lens had cracked through the screw hole. Instead of 3 strikes you're out, I decided on 2 and gave up. I still like the glasses and wish they would have worked out. I guess they're just not for me. So I still gave them 3 stars instead of 1.UPDATE: After wearing them for a few more days, the screw that holds the right arm to the lens loosened. Luckily I didn't loose it. This is the second pair of glasses that the same screw loosened. The first pair I sent back because I couldn't tighten the screw. It had stripped. I chalked it up to manufacturer error, but now I wonder. This time I could tighten the screw but before I did I used a thread locker on it. Then I removed the same screw on the other side and did the same. Hopefully that will end this problem. (I added a photo to show the thread locker.) More updates to follow.I have purchased 10 to 15 pairs of eyeglasses from Amazon over the years. These are, by far, the best quality of them all. Every part is screwed on with the screw heads still perfect. Even the nose pads are screwed on and can be easily adjusted. Nothing is soldered or welded so I think these will last. The lenses are clear and the glasses were comfortable from the first time I put them on. The photos show the position and quality of the screws. Two show how the bridge is attached with screws and no welds. These are the most comfortable eyeglasses I've purchased. The parts are well thought out, down to the nosepads. They are not like any other I've seen. They are soft, spongy and really cushion your nose. I can wear them all day and not have red depressions on my nose. I liked them do much I ordered a second pair just in case I sit on them. (-:

Why pay more?
I have worn contact lenses since I was about age 12, never glasses . But over the last couple years I also begin to have trouble reading small print. My eye doc said dont pay me for expensive reading glasses , go to the drug store, and buy them off the shelf. I followed his advice, and viola , I could read small print again. I first purchased the $15 foster grants, I could see fine, but they were very uncomfortable, and kept falling off. I have since bought two of there top of the line $30 pairs and they were better. These were only $16 and much better yet. let me sum up my experience. You want spring loaded hinges! it is a must for comfort and fit, the foster grants have it for $29 but they are loose and a bit of play in them, these are tight and firm. the foster grant come with a cloth case, these come with a hard case, a cloth, and a tool, and an extra pare of nose pads. the first thing that broke on my foster grant was the nose pads, thus another $30 purchase! These are very light, fit well, and have blue UV coating, and cost less and come with more, The quality is obviously better, and the price is better as well. I give them a big thumbs up!

Broke on first day
I've ordered several pairs of these in the past but it was time for a slightly stronger (1.5 vs 1.0) strength so I ordered a new pair. It broke on the first day. The thread was either stripped in manufacturing or something because the left side came off when I took the glasses off and no way to reattach it. "Not eligible for refund/return"! Won't be wasting my money on products from this manufacturer again. No reason for a not being eligible for a refund when it is a manufacturing defect like this.

I LIKEY LIKEY
Been wearing these for two weeks now and like them a lot. Lens quality is very good, clear and no defects. Slightly noticeable blue coating blocks uv. Frames are very nice and look expensive. My only reservation is that they are a bit lightweight and fragile. Handle with care and they should last. Handle roughly and they will not. Good as a second / backup pair of reading glasses.UPDATE JAN 1 2022After two months these have become my go-to glasses. They live on top of my head much of the day and are called into service frequently. They've survived well. I clean the lens with a fogged breath and edge of my t-shirt....no scratches! Frames are holding up well and screws staying tight. It was a good purchase.

Updated: The Readers I've been Looking For
Updating this on June 9, 2020: After using these on a daily basis for two months, I bought a couple more pairs today. Want to have them in reserve. These reading glasses are great and I still really like them. Original review follows.I used to buy Magnavision readers but haven't been able to find them either locally or on Amazon. I saw these and decided to try them. They are great. They are as sturdy as the Magnavision reading glasses and don't slip off your head when bending over. Field of vision is clear everywhere and the 1.5 strength was accurate. Very comfortable. I also bought a second pair with the blue light blocking coating for reading in bed at night. The coating really isn't noticeable when you're using the glasses. Will likely buy a couple of backup pairs.

? Poorly thought out
Nice glasses, but extremely tight fit in the case. Horrible protection, especially since there is no room to wrap them in a cloth wipe.

Love These!
I had cataract surgery a few years ago and it fixed my distance vision but I lost my close-up vision. I have had to wear reading glasses non-stop for work (Computer) and pretty much anything else I want to "see" up close. I have owned many types and pairs and they are all heavy and leave the red marks on my nose. So, I thought I would try these. They are perfect! Light, comfortable and no marks. But the best part? Is the staff I work with taking notice and complementing me - thinking they cost a lot of money. If you are wanting something with good vision, that is light-weight and classy looking - try these. I don't think you will be dissappointed.
