For Mercury Cougar
It work great for a Mercury Cougar that has not run in thirty years!

Good stuff make sure it flows enough air for your application
I ran it for about a month on a 351w with 500+ lift cam aluminum heads and intake but ended up going with a 1407. Its a great function ing carb for the price and fuel efficiency was good.

The right carb for the job!
I put this on a 1968 Ford Ranchero! I've tried 3 used ones before and had issues with them. I put this on and the car runs perfectly now. Only had to modify the linkage connection dues to it being an older car! I will never buy a used carb again, this is my go to carb from now on!

Upgrade
This upgrade was easy to install on the Edelbrock Torqer 2 intake and very responsive on the throttle. Using a vacuum gauge to tune was simple.

Manual Choke, please be aware.
The Carburetor has a Manual Choke. Please be aware of this before ordering. I had to return it because it was not compatible with my application, which required an Electric Choke. Other than that, Edelbrock should be your choice!

The Installation Edelbrock 1405 performer 600 Carburetor went very well I have used these type or carburetors before. They have always worked awesome, and very easy to replace parts and make adjustments I would buy again...

Works perfectly
I bought this carburetor and it runs great no issue with the truck no more turning of with the old carburetor. it stays on and the quality is great. Out of the box it comes already adjusted just to place it on the engine and start it.
