Simple, well built power jack
I have used these types of power jacks for years now. Best low voltage connector for the price. From 5 or 12 VDC LED strip lighting to 12 volt video cameras and both used indoors and outdoors. Works great supplying power to my arduino's too I usually use 18 gauge / 2 conductor cables, however on long camera power runs I used 14/2. Stranded cable gets a good bite in the terminals compared to solid cable. Just use care when using stranded so a loose strand doesn't cross over and cause shorts. I found it best when used outside to wrap the connectors with some electrical tape to prevent them from pulling out and to keep moisture out. They last longer that way if protected a bit. Worst connector I saw after a year or so outside without protecting it was the screw terminals were corroded and rusty; as were the cable conductors. Camera connected to it was flaking out and the power to it was the problem. I just removed the used one and cut back the wiring to fresh copper and installed a new one in no time at all.Use these to place your cameras where YOU want them. Just remember to upsize your power supplies amperage and utilize larger gauge cabling for long runs due to voltage drop. Do not use these with AC.

Good quality, good price
Many sellers sell this very same item, and I've seen small variations so there are also at least a few manufacturers. These work well and were the lowest price I could find at the time. The small cinch screws can take either a small Phillips or slotted screwdriver... I've found that a slotted screwdriver works best as it gets a more secure grip on the screw head.I use these as temporary connections for testing light strips prior to and during installation. I am not a fan of clips and plug connectors for permanent installations because they can be intermittent and almost always fail eventually, causing you to go looking for the bad connection (however, after you find the bad connection it's easy to fix). I prefer soldering all connections because that is problem-free and permanent. Some light strips come with a plug pre-installed so all you have to do is connect it to a power source to check out the light color and find any defective LEDs. If there is no plug, no problem - just temporarily install one of these plugs to do the testing. Same with power sources. To test amperage draw, simply build a simple test splice using a male and female and two short lengths of wire. Cut one of the wires in the center to connect in series to a multimeter set to test amps. Actually, even though I said I solder all connections, I do use a male/female connection between the power source and the light strips so I can easily insert my test splice to check voltage and amps in the future when needed.Everything I said applies to CCTV installations as well as LED light strips, or any other 12 VDC application.

I used it for a solar power lamp
Great product, easy to install and serves the purpose. Usually it is used for CCTV systems but I used it to interrupt and connect a solar power lamp. I have two lamps in the stairway, one without any interruptor that works up to 10 hours since dawn and the other in which I installed the product, that I connect once the other is off. The lamp's solar panel is located at our house's roof (I can't reach the switch that is located in the back of the solar panel to turn it on/off), that is why I need an accessible interruptor, and I found it. I tried to install an inline switch, but it was very difficult since the line is very narrow and it have only a black and red wires inside, and when I tried to peel the red and black wiresto uncover the copper and then pull the covers, I was almost left without enough copper to complete the installation in a safety and lasting way. This product provides one inlet for the red wire (I used the inlet that is marked with the positive sign (+), and another inlet marked with the negative sign (-) which I used to install the black wire in both terminals. They are secured in place with small screws that I adjusted. The lamp is working as I wanted! I like the solar power energy ⚡ very much, but the a solar system for the house which include 13 solar panels, and a tesla battery among other elements cost around $25,000. We already have solar power water heater, gas stove, gas clothes dryer, LED lamps, four inverter A/C's, and energy saving refrigerator, microwave and washing machine that we bought thru the years before the solar powered systems exist for domestic installation.

Great for hobbyists and DIY!
I use them for low voltage DC work with lighting and solar charging and portable sports outdoors use. Easy to use. They are standardized so they work with many different devices. They are also cheap.

Quality design
I got these for my security system since the connectors that came with it were so cheap and have constant connectivity issues. These installed easy and have not given me any issues. I am very pleased with the quality of this product.
