I purchased this map for use in a special education classroom. It is thickly laminated and very durable. Dry erase marker draws easily on and wipes easily off.

My 8 year old map enthusiast love this set of maps. Love to draw boarders on the back and make pretend territories like playing DummiNation. It cleans easily with soap and water. Though he pointed out some geographical errors on the maps and googled it to verify and he was definitely right. For example: Yucatán peninsula doesn’t look right and Belize is marked wrong, Japan map should not have the northern islands which belongs to Russia, and Burundi should not have a long tail. It’s amazing how these kids are so smart but this product has been a very interactive and spent more time on the dinner table. Would highly recommend it.

I didn’t really know what to expect out of this so I kept an open mind. I wasn’t liking our silicone mats because everything stuck to them and they were gross. I got some cheap mats at the grocery store and they were very flimsy and that made it difficult to wash and wipe in the sink. So I wanted a new, firmer mat. This worked perfectly. They’re pretty stiff so they’re easy to wipe. The picture is clear and bright with lots of little fun details in mini pictures of things related to the various states (e.g. car on Michigan, potato on Idaho). The mat itself is like a big laminated picture so it seems a little home-made, but I don’t mind that if it serves its job well. The lamination means it wipes up well from messes and obviously you can write on the blank states side with washable markers with no problems. I’ve been using these for two preschoolers for about a month non-stop and will probably get more from this brand if that says anything about my satisfaction. They’re a tad on the pricey side in my honest opinion, but I’d rather spend more and actually like them and have them hold up than the alternative.

So fun. It’s a really good tool to show our daughter the country/continent of Australia. We did a presentation for her class and it was a very good visual tool.

The placemat is thicker than others I have purchased in the past, and hence seems more durable. The lamination itself is fairly heavy and there is a 1/2" border of lamination around the actual map of the world. I have had other placemats where the lamination was only 1/8" beyond the map and those often over time would allow moisture in when they were washed, causing separation and damage to the placemat. Colors are bright and vivid, with lettering clearly identifying each state. Very easy to read. Seas and oceans are also identified. Not a lot of excess and unnecessary information to busy-up the map, which is how I like it.
