Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Animal Designs

The media could not be loaded. I've been "in" to coloring for just under a year now, and I've come to be pretty picky when it comes to which books I want for my coloring book collection. I want books that have variety and patterns, as well as an opportunity to use splashy gel pens. This book gives you all that. It has deep, dark outlines and offers a variety of intricate patterns balanced with pages that give you chance to just color big spaces. I like that the gel pens do not bleed through to the next page; plus, I especially like that there no pictures to color on the back sides of the picture pages. This makes it even easier to prevent bleeds on to the next picture. I also especially like that this "adult" coloring book does NOT come with adult language or sexual innuendoes. I think everyone should be able to have a book they like, so if others like that type of theme, I'm fine with it. I just wanted to let others know that if you're like me, you won't find that in this book labeled "adult." While I'm not fond of pages that have an over-abundance of black-and-white pre-shading, this book at least doesn't go overboard in the quantity of pre-shaded pages. In all, this is a 5-star book that I would recommend to anyone. I received a sample of this product in the mail for my honest, unbiased review.

While our family tends more toward unique creations when it comes to art, there is something therapeutic about coloring without adding in other elements.This adult coloring book is for animal lovers. It includes 50 different animal patterns in 3-4 different styles. If you like more continuity in your books, the different styles may bother you. If you are solely looking for something to relieve some stress or hand to your older kids on long trips, this gives you more variety to work with.The printing seems to be good quality, without a lot of bleeding. The print is dark, and you can actually see the next page through the current one, which brings us to the most negative aspect of the book.The pages are about the same thickness as normal copy paper, as opposed to some of the thicker paged coloring books on the market. This allows the aforementioned visibility of pages below. It also means that while the pages can easily accommodate most colored pencils or crayons, it is not suited for markers and some gel pens. Markers bleed through a lot and some of the gel pens I tried also bled through. This isn't a deal breaker but is something one should be aware of prior to purchase depending on anticipated needs.Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.

But you cannot draw yourself...Not entirely sure what there is to review about a coloring book, a stress relieving one at that but I did use it in a hospital, ironically. I purchased this to potentially use myself to pass the time and/or to have something for younger family members to color while visiting. In that regard, the book passes all expectations. The pictures vary greatly with lots of different animal types and varied styling within individual pieces. In other words, some pictures are intricate and intense with bold, black lines while others are more wide open and free to interpretation. It is definitely a worthy buy if you like to color or love animal related pieces. Worthy of note for potential buyers: there are 50 designs to be colored. Also, the pages do not appear to be perforated for easy removal if that matters to you. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

I bought this for my kids and me to do together, as a stress relieving activity and to improve their hand strength and fine motor skills. I really like all the designs but the resolution is very poor. A lot of them look like they're printed in grayscale so they are blurry and pixelated. I could have done a better job printing on my own printer. The pages are not perforated so they're hard to tear out and it's so tightly bound that you can't easily color it in the book.
