STAUBKnobs 40509-347 Animal Knob Escargot Handle

Bought Staub and Le Creuset cast iron casseroles. We liked the look of these so I bought a chicken one for the Staub. Expensive for a knob but solid stainless steel and well made so actually good value. Easy to use as a good size, and gives great purchase. Checked it fitted the Le Creuset which had a phenolic plastic knob, and bought this snail for it too. Very happy with design, functionality, and Amazons price.

After accidentally melting the stock knob that came on a Cuisinart dutch oven, I decided to replace it with this one. I primarily use a dutch oven to bake bread at 500ºF, and this knob withstood that temperature without issue. It should last for a long time.Note: it did not come with a screw, which wasn't an issue as I was replacing the warped one, but thought it should be pointed out in case someone was wanting to replace both pieces.

Fun replacement knob. Fits perfectly on this Amazonbasics pan. Note that there is no screw included and the screw from the pan I added it to was too big. Hardware store gave me an MBP 17x1 screw which did the job.

Much easier to use particularly when pot lid is hot.
