Would this be OK for a 4 year old?

Very good for a 4 year old. My son has used his for about a year. He loves it. Only downside that I've found is that the strings often come unknotted. Even with a square knot. Just have to keep an eye on them. He's fielding now at 5 and it stands up to his abuse.

Could youtell me the size of this ball and glove? I am making an outfit for a newborn and would be just for pictures, but maybe you would have a bank.

The glove is 9.5 inches. Sized for a Toddler. The ball fits in the pocket. We do not have a bank.

Will this fit an 8 year old boy hand?

Yes. My 8 year old daughter has the pink version and she is very tall and it fits her still very well.
