No aluminum, does a great job with my baked goods.
The other brands of baking powder that we have in our area tend to have aluminum and different ingredients that I really don’t want in my baked goods. Additionally, many brands seem to have had problems with quality over the last year. Someone recommended this particular brand to me as being a good quality by, so I picked one up. I have to say I have been favorably impressed.Functionally, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I found it is particularly reactive with water… More so than the other brands I have used. This is a good thing as it means I get a much better rise in my muffins and the like. As I mentioned, I did not want aluminum in this bread does not carry it in its ingredients.I suspect I will be buying more of this in the future as it seems to be a good brand with solid ingredients and does very well when baked.

My wife insists on using Dr Oetker's & while I'm not as fanatic about baking powder as she is (she's the baker in the family), it never produces some of the off flavor notes that some other brands do (although she recently let me try the Red Mill brand & that seems to be pretty good too). The biggest problem we've had is finding the 170g containers... all they sell in the WNY area are the envelopes - much more expensive & quite a bit more of a pain to use.
