Very successful graphic version of an old classic
This is a clever graphic novel version of a classic of French literature. I have read the original, plus a couple translations. I read a review of this version and was curious (and rather skeptical!!), but I have to say that it captured much of the novel. I still prefer the "old fashioned" text, but I can see how this graphic version might be a gateway to Camus for other readers, especially young ones.

Great gist of a beautiful novel
It's nice to be able to get the gist of a beautiful novel for comic lovers like me. The pictures are so clear and shows the complexity of the main characters and the story too. I really enjoy reading this book.

Excellent
I usually don't read graphic novels, but Camus' The Stranger seemed oddly appropriate to read in that format. What an amazing visual delight and well worth reading along with the traditional novel.
