Hello there. Thanks for your question. The simple answer is definitely, yes! I'd love to explain more though, because our sand is something we're very proud of. Interestingly, not all sand is the same. Whilst it may look similar, our sand is crushed from a specifically chosen rock (in North America) to avoid contaminants, free quartz or free silica. Plus, it goes through strict annual safety checks (We want to avoid any nasties from our sand). We spent a lot of time finding the perfect sand supplier, to be sure we were offering sand that was both safe, and perfect for Zen Gardens. So whilst our sand isn't the cheapest, we can be confident of its quality...and that's really important to us here at Island Falls Home. Finally, after choosing our supplier, we tested out various sand grain sizes. Again, not all sand is the same. (Some is fine & some coarse). We've a great relationship with our supplier and have chosen what we believe to be the optimal sand grain size for use in Zen Gardens. The patterns show up clearly, which makes a real difference. Is it possible to add water to the garden? To create a pond?

Hello and thank you for your question. Our Zen Gardens comprise of soft white sand in a wooden ray, with a multitude of features. Whilst you wouldn't be able to add water directly, I would suggest perhaps looking to see if you can add a small "basin" of some sort, or alternatively (if realism is less important), you may wish to add an imitation pond. Our Zen Gardens do come with 6 beautifully handcrafted rakes, which allow you to create a variety of effects in the sand, including rippling water effects. I've never used a zen garden before. Are they easy to use and will it really look like the pictures?

Hello there. Thanks so much for your questions! The great thing about a Zen Garden is that it can be whatever you want it to be. Enclosed within the gift tissue paper, within our giftable boxes, you'll find all of the tools and features you need to really make it your own. There are 6 different bamboo tools which each allow you to create a different pattern in the sand. Even as a beginner, I think you'll be surprised by what you can quickly and easily create, even if (like me) you're not particularly artistic! You may like to copy the designs pictured in our product images, or maybe you'll gain inspiration from the photos in reviews left by our many happy customers. Finally, browse the enclosed color guide, which talks you through what all the features mean. Amazing zen garden

This is such a lovely zen garden. The little ornaments are well designed and don't look cheap. I especially love the little cherry blossom trees. It has a good size and is deep enough to keep the sand inside without much mess. There's enough little pebbles to form different path designs and a very good selection of well crafted tools to make designs in the sand. Overall, definitely value for money and also well presented in a nice designed box with a glossy information leaflet explaining the different elements of zen gardens. Very pleased with it, looks so beautiful and is so relaxing to use.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a zen garden and I'm really happy with my choice, well packaged and extremely well made. I have lots of crystals so can easily incorporate a few within the garden, very relaxing to do in the morning to bring calm before the day begins, I'm using the garden as part of my morning meditation and have found this very relaxing and calming. So happy I made the decision to eventually buy my Zen Garden

Very Zen and Calming!!

I was looking for something to work on as a stress buster, given the work and pandemic stress, and came across this product. It looked very impressive and placed an order and i was pleasantly surprised to see how fast it was delivered and also how well the packaging was. The package also had a lovely card going over the meaning of each of the pieces. The one thing i loved is it did not dictate how your zen garden should look like. All the basic tools and the deep meaning of each of the items and it left you to create your own zen space. A very personal process indeed. It took a few moments of silence and calm to create my version and i am sure given all the tools the possibilities are endless. Love the product and it looks like an excellent gift item as well . Hoping to create more versions of my zen space depending on the mood and the energy required for that day.

Excellent quality!

This is a wonderful kit, the tray is a perfect size and all the accessories are of an excellent quality (with the tiny exception of the pagoda which is a bit plastic-y.) There are so many variations possible with everything provided and it’s a very satisfying activity to become absorbed in. I’m glad I didn’t go for one of the cheaper kits although this one is by no means too expensive. Thank you, Holly and James.
