Car: 2007 Chevy Equinox Purchase Price: $21.57 Car Error codes: None collected; a couple times I believe it had codes, but they cleared, and the engine light went off. Car Symptoms: Intermittent rough idle; more often after a fuel fill; difficulty starting even more rare, but it did struggle to start once with a near empty tank. Predominantly, the symptoms occurred above 3/4 tank. This part seemed to be the most likely culprit, as the problems were related to fuel tank level and temperature changes, which could affect fuel tank vapor pressure. Installation was simple. The car started up cleanly after installing the new part. And it seemed to have an improved start. Driving the car also seemed a bit smoother, particularly at stops and accelerating from stops. This is just day one, so I'll continue to monitor and update this review if the problem is not resolved. 8/13/18 Update: My rough idle problem is not resolved. This really stinks. No error codes, but the rough idle persists. It usually occurs after the first start-up and drive; at restart, it might take longer to turn-over and exhibit the rough idle/hesitation from a dead-stop. I'm now looking at O2 sensors and MAP sensor. I'll leave 5-stars on this part. It fit well; easy to install; works as advertised. 8/18/18 Update: Just drove down to San Diego on 8/17. Picked up 3 error codes: P0404, P1779, and C0561, including Service Stabilitrak and Service Traction Control. Seems to be a known issue. All the errors are a possible result of P0404--EGR Valve Position Error. I would have ordered an AC Delco EGR, but nobody can get it to me within a week. So, I purchased a BWD EGR Valve ($70) from O'Reilly and just installed it. A couple of short drives and I'm not seeing the symptoms. I don't think it's a clogged manifold or a bad PCM circuit. The true test will be the drive back up to Northern California. 8/20/18 Update: Just drove 20 miles on the highway in San Diego. The Engine Light went OFF. Idle at stops is solid. No hesitation when accelerating from a stop. Problem seems to be resolved. 8/25/18 Update: Just drove 470 miles, San Diego to SF Bay area. No issues. Car drove very well. No return of rough idle, hesitation from a stop, or engine light.

Had a P0449 code popping up on my Silverado and traced it back to the purge valve. Swapped it out with this ACDelco OE part and the issue was gone right away. Fit perfectly, no weird noises, and the engine runs smoother at idle now. If you’re chasing EVAP system codes, this is a solid fix. Go with OEM—it’s not worth gambling on a cheap knockoff for emissions parts.
